Shoe Lifts

I know how you can get away with lifts and not be embarrassed.

Cowboy boots, the have the lifts built in!

interesting, I always felt at some point that actually accentuates the lack of height.
Push is right. If you are shorter than someone, but noticeably more powerful, they aren’t thinking about your height. For example, an ex-boyfriend of mine was 5’9" and weighed about 265lb lean. He was a Strongman/powerlifter, lots of muscle. Everyone assumed he was 3 inches taller just because he was so massive.
Edit: Basically you can impress with sheer muscular size alone.

Very strange to me that people would lie about something that would be so easy to call out.

I wouldn’t have a problem with a short guy.

But I would have a problem with a short guy telling me he was 5’11" and then meeting him and finding him to be considerably shorter. I would wonder what the hell else he’s lying about.

I’m 179 to be specific, forgiveable to round up a little

You’re too tall. There’s no way you’ll ever be successful.

Aren’t you a shorty yourself?
6ft and proud!
I’m 5’11’ and a half…so I just say 6 feet. I am so happy about that.

See I thought I was 5’ 11" and a half, so I just used to say 5’ 11", then the doctor told me I was 6ft. I didn’t believe it, but we have a fancy schmancy scale at the gym that tells you your height and it told me I was 6’ 1" in a pair of shoes so I guess I must have grown

nice input from all, appreciated.

but I think ive not explained myself well. I didn’t actually say I feel short. my issue is I don’t feel tall. I mean, in a certain scenario at my old work, I knew that for a period of the day, when I had to liaise with another department or spend time on a given task, bar 1 guy shorter, the other 3/4 guys were 6’2 minimum. - then I feel short.

I mean, I have a few irrational insecurities. but im able to admit I have an inferiority complex. I don’t know where it stems from. nothing obvious in my upbringing. maybe just the culture u are exposed to.

Wait. It says you’re 5’11" in your hub. Huh? How tall are you really?

179 so 5’10.5, but that’s stood up straight. with good posture. which I don’t naturally have. So when I do, makes it look like im trying to puff my chest out. I have a 42/43 inch chest, which imo is big to the average non-goer. so like I say, when I stand up straight, it looks like im trying to impose myself. so naturally, I slouch and walk round with my head down. sometimes pretending to be on my phone so It doesn’t look like I have confidence issues. im going to far hear, aren’t I.

I don’t want to get this big (not for a moment saying I easily could If I wanted to). but I weigh around 175lbs for boxing purposes. and in honesty id like to drop to 168. in fairness, its a modestly lean 175. 12% bf id guestimate at.

Well then, I suppose there’s four more options:

 1. Wear shoe lifts, or high heeled boots (carbiduis mentioned cowboy boots)
 2. Grow a pair, honestly no one at work cares that you’re not 6’2" unless you’re all Pro football players.
 3. Literally grow a pair and let us know how the surgery goes… New York Man 'Grows' Six Inches Through Surgery - ABC News
 4. Get a different job, i.e. stilt walker, circus performer, elementary school teacher.
