Speaking of which, the console stopped working on the Airdyne last week. Tried changing out batteries and messing with the cable. Nada… Replacement consoles (from those days) cost more than what I paid for the Airdyne.
Not sure what to do…
That sucks to hear man. I think I have seen used consoles for sale, of course they might go bad like that one did.
Found this video. 2 fixes, one shows corrosion the other shows that the contacts on the back of the monitor are flattened down slightly and need to have a flathead screwdriver pry them out a little bit.
Dude that is super helpful. I did notice some of that blue corrosion on the terminals. I will try to clean that off and see if I can get it working again. ![]()
My console is 22+ years old. Every time I turn it on I hold my breath. Maybe get a clock and ride HIIT sprints. Of course you do not have the option of distance, calories, work load, but you still have the timed option? That is inconvenient, sorry to hear about your console.
Thanks. If I can’t get it working again I’m going to look for some after market console that, if nothing else, counts calories and/or measures distance.

Thanks Trent! HHI is nice. I really love all the trees with Spanish moss and how they hide all the buildings from the road with vegetation.
It must be really hard to cut down trees here because I see new lots being cleared for buildings with trees sitting in the middle of the lot that is being cleared around them and they are not touched.
This place actually looks to have a decent fitness center, though yesterday my code wasn’t working to open the door. Not sure what that’s about.

Great job on that ride Shane! Smart move to bring that with you. Looks like quite a bit of swell in the water right now. It’s well overhead where we live. Swell should die down in the coming days. We were standing out in the pouring rain at the soccer game this morning…
Thanks Trent. I almost left my bike but everything I read said it was a huge biking destination. Very glad I brought it. You can pretty much get to anywhere you want to go around here on a bike.
