You are in the top 25% (give or take). I would say that is pretty impressive. I always check what you and TM are doing on the Peloton and I am always impressed by both of your effort(s).
Thanks Trent. ![]()
Thank you. I am trying.
Well, you saddle up and get the job done.
The bike makes it fun. Easy to get in the habit of doing. ![]()

That’s it. My BTN press I am loosely following my own 531 percentage going by feel.
Good work Shane!
That is some serious weight on BTN press. I’d be happy just to pick up the bar with your shrugs weight. Your traps should be bigger than my quads at that weight.
Way to get it done man! ![]()

That’s it. Decided to go back to a body part type split. Full body was leaving me feeling like I hadn’t stressed anything every workout. At least today my legs felt like they got some kind of a workout.
Happy International Leg Day!
It was pretty slow in our gym this morning, thankfully, but glad to see I wasn’t the only one doing legs today.
That was some serious weight on Leg Press man!
Glad I know someone who can move that kind of weight.
The squats looked solid as well. I think the muscle group split is the best unless you’re training for something crazy like Murph. Definitely the best way to smoke a muscle group. Good work on the Peloton ride this weekend too. Solid pace! ![]()
Youtube TV/ESPN Update: This weekend I paused my Youtube TV subscription for 6 months and signed up for Hulu. Pretty sure it is the same package you have. Anyway, my decision basically went as follows:
-Youtube TV: I do like their platform as it is very user friendly, but, obviously they are missing all of the ESPN/ABC networks.
-Fubo: I much prefer their platform to Hulu but they don’t have the Turner networks (don’t care about CNN but I do want TNT and TBS, etc. to watch college BBall.)
-Hulu: This seemed the obvious choice by process of elimination. I did enjoy catching all of my sports this weekend and was blown away at the number of college football games that were on. There were schools on there that I had never heard of. LOL My only complaint (other than the not so user friendly platform) is that I kept getting “Connection Errors” yesterday while trying to watch football. I’ve never had any issues like that before with any other streaming service. I ended up connecting my TV to the router in the garage (which puts out a stronger signal) and that seemed to resolve the issue. Not sure why that one works better than the living room router that is right next to the TV? ![]()
Summary: I spoke to a lot of people about this over the weekend and most of them were trying to hold out from joining any of the ESPN/Disney services (out of principal) which is understandable. I thought about it more and decided that I don’t like Google, Youtube, Disney or ESPN. If I thought that Google/Youtube was a moral/ethical company I would probably be more loyal to them but IMO they are all scum bags and I just want to watch sports. End of story.
Plus I can always cancel Hulu and go back to Youtube TV (or to another service) as long as I time it right on the billing date. Pausing YTV was good too as we don’t lose any of our recorded stuff.
(Wow, sorry for the terribly long post. My bad man…)
Thanks Trent. 540 is about as heavy I plan to go on leg press. My knees are popping and making all kinds of funny noises while doing them. ![]()
The one good thing about these new TV services is no contract and easy to cancel.
Not sure why the connectivity issues on Hulu. It should work the same as any other streaming device.
I hear you on the merits of these companies. It’s hard to pick a winner there.
Tuesday Cardio
Weight 256.6
5 minute cool down.
I was short on time today, of my own doing by sitting on the couch watching the news instead of going downstairs and getting on the peloton.
95 percent of my rides are done in the saddle. Only time I come out is if it’s a long ride and my butt needs a break. Today’s ride, 30 minutes, was totally in the saddle.
I find this keeps it lowish impact on my knees, hips, ankles, etc.
Nice job on that ride Shane! Pace is moving up!
I hear you on staying in the saddle. Sometimes you just have to do it.
Thanks Trent.

Skipped weigh in today. Went out for a birthday party last night and had Italian. Knew I was going to be over cals when they brought these out.
Great job on all of your Pelaton rides man! I may have to invest in some indoor trainer type set up. First snowfall last week and I already miss my bike!
Also mostly commented bc of that bread…looks delicious and made me hungry first thing in the morning!
MONSTER push session! Great job Shane! Must have been all those extra carbs.
No seriously, good sets on BTN and glad to see those Flat DB bench in the mix. Very strong on DB Lat Raises too. Way to get after it man! ![]()
