Yeah, you can get the Peloton app, but all it has is 5 prerecorded classes to do. These will refresh with new 5 prerecorded classes every 2 months. Like I said, pretty boring. It is more than I pay monthly for a membership as well.
At the time, I was paying around 35 bucks a month for my wife to go to the gym, and pretty much all she liked to do was the spin classes. So, it wasn’t much of a stretch. Now, I am pretty much the only one who rides the Peloton. She taken up running and rarely uses it. Now I have a 2 thousand dollar bike that someone has to use. The good thing is that I actually do like to use it, but it is overpriced. I might try selling it soon and buying another Rogue Echo bike. I sold that to buy this, haha.
Ahhh… interesting. Does the bike have built-in workouts like the Precor bike (intervals, fat burning, conditioning test, etc.)? I could probably get by with that. Lol. Yeah, I hear you on the echo bike. Those things are exhausting. I’d like to have something I could ride for an hour or more and think I would fall over and die trying to do that on the echo bike.
After looking deeper into the app I think you can actually do more with it. Idk, before I cancel I might look harder into it. Problem is I would need to buy an Ipad with a mount and some kind of cable or attachment that would bluetooth the actual output to the Ipad. I think. Regardless, it all sounds expensive. LoL.
Great workout Shane! I know the Smith Machine is supposed to be easier but 300 on bench ain’t easy, even if someone else if lifting it. Great job! You’re putting that thing through the paces, that’s for sure. That was a ton of work in 55 minutes. Good job today!
On the Peloton, a wifi iPad, I wouldn’t think, costs much more than a few months of that payment. Maybe the Peloton will just export the data to the iPad via bluetooth? Hoping that since you already have a vested interest in this that you’ll look all of this up and streamline it for me so I can buy a Peloton a year from now and it’s already worked out. Nah, sorry for all the questions man.
Thanks Trent. Yeah I am having fun on the smith machine. I can set the safeties on it and really hit it hard without worrying about needing a spot. When I am done my chest has been worked hard, and that’s the goal right?
Yeah, I might price those iPads. I have one but it’s so old it probably wouldn’t work.
I’ll try and get all the quirks worked out for you. Haha.
Nice job on the elliptical this morning Shane. Then a (dare I say) metcon afterwards. I know you were just trying to get your push-ups in but I couldn’t help it. The rower is awesome for doing intervals. I like the looks of that one a lot. Great work!
Thanks Trent. I thought about you while doing them. Almost called them a metcon but was thinking, nope, Trent would have at least one more exercise in here.
Yeah I can see how it would be great for that. I am digging it. Mostly because I can go heavy and not worry about killing myself and I can knock out a lot of exercises without leaving the machine. Quick, efficient, safe.
My whole upper body is sore from Mondays workout. I haven’t had that in awhile. I kept legs light because I didn’t want my whole body sore. LoL. To old for that shit.
