Thanks Trent!

Stretching, haha. Idk, as far as it seems to me it’s a form of some kind of mid evil torture.:melting_face:

Off to church.

My mom is from Sheridan. We used to go out that way often when my grandpa was still alive.

Love it out there. Would love to retire there.

I have this same problem. If the belt isn’t in the exact right position, it’s miserable.

And please give your son a big congrats hug on his Olympic’s performances! Way to go, buddy!!

Spud Inc sells a “pillow belt” to solve the belt squat bruising issues but I’m not paying an extra 120 bucks just to belt squat. @kleinhound had some split squats in his journal using the belt squat that gave me some ideas on how to intensify without adding more weight. :+1:

Check his journal out, should be from last week.

Will do. He is really proud of his medals. Took them to church today to show off.

Went to my other gym this morning because I had to meet our equipment guy at the shop early this morning to discuss a project.

Good work put in. Even on other equipment. Nice PR on those deficits. I was supposed to do Sumos, but I don’t sumo.

1x460 on deficit deads is just incredible man! :exploding_head: Seriously, I couldn’t imagine doing that much on that lift. Truly impressive! Solid work on the rest of it too. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Thanks Trent. It actually moved pretty well today.

Ed Coan always said he’d train off a deficit unless he was starting to peak for a meet. Awesome strength builder. Paused Deads off a deficit are also a fun one

Thanks. I am running Conjugate right now and am using is as another movement on my deads on Max Effort day. I will probably need to accelerate the weight increase on the next time around as the 460 was pretty easy.

Signed up for my next meet today.

I joined the USPA and will be competing on 10/18/25 in the Southeast Regionals in Gainesville, Ga. This will be about an hour and half from my house. Weigh in is on Friday morning at 9:00 AM. I will be competing at 250 to 260 pounds, so I will chose the 275 class. This meet requires no qualifying but is a qualifier for future meets.

If I can hit a 1168 I will be a class II lifter and it would open up some other meets to me that require qualifying to enter. That’s 38 pounds more than my last meet. I think I can do it.

Awesome Shane! Yeah, I think you’ve got way more than 38 pounds. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:
