Good work on the bike rides, gazebo build and deload session. Sounds like a crazy week man. They must start school early down there. We have 3 more precious weeks. Hope your wife’s surgery goes well and that she has a speedy recovery. :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you Trent. Not sure why our schools start back so early. Our son does get a lot of breaks that my old school never got. Like he gets a fall break, and a winter break that I never got, both are a week off at a time and remind me a lot of our old spring breaks.

Nice job on the bike ride and sauna. Nice weigh in too. Life Hack: Weigh in after you get done in the sauna. :joy: Our kids had almost zero breaks or teacher work days last year. They started in late August and got out before Memorial Day. I think this year they get out slightly later.

I just looked at my son’s school calendar. He has 6 weeks off, not including national holidays.

Dude, that’s insane… Not trying to hate on teachers/faculty, but you already get all damn summer off. Now you want 6 weeks off during the school year? :-1:t2: :-1:t2: :-1:t2: :-1:t2:

EDIT: Just looked at my daughter’s school calendar. I counted 10 teacher workdays all year. They have Spring Break (5 days) and Christmas Break (9 week days), but that’s it. First day is 8/29/22. Last day is 6/9/23. Maybe they built extra time in to last year’s calendar in case they had to take a covid break.

Yeah it is crazy. Luckily my wife is a stay at home mom with the exception of 2 nights a week. I don’t know how people stay off with their kids 6 weeks a year. That is more vacation than most companies top out at.

Thanks Trent. Birthday party was ok. It was at a community water park. Someone there puked in the pool though so were we only able to get in about an hour of slides, and swimming. Son had a blast while it lasted. Hiking is definitely one of my favorite things to do with him. He usually complains the whole way but then tells me later it was fun.
