Shane’s Journal

The last year for me. :joy:

Nice job on the Peloton ride Shane. I might do some slow LISS tomorrow morning to try and stay in the Zone 2. That would still be a good calorie burn and it is supposedly better than killing yourself in Zone 17.

Thought about you when I saw one of my neighbors selling a gently used Peloton bike for $950. I was tempted but not quite tempted enough.

Thank you Trent. I definitely still get a good calorie burn in zone 2. With my age my zone 2 goes up to 130 so you can still get a good sweat there.

Yeah those Pelotons are selling on the used market cheap now. They come with a hefty monthly fee if you want to continue to do classes with them though. We pay 39 bucks a month for our household. My wife and I both use it quite a bit though. Definitely a decent piece of cardio equipment.

Nice work on those last two session Shane. Working up to some heavy (at least to me) sets on squats. Good to see that again. Good cardio session today as well. I hear you on the Pelotons. I doubt I would pay $50/month for that. At least right now. Does it also function as a stand alone bike like the ones at the gym? (No internet)

You can ride it like a normal exercise bike but for that price, without monthly membership to classes, I would rather have an airdyne.

Talk about humbling. This 40 year old lady out of Texas over doubled my all time 30 minute PR. People are amazing. It’s crazy how strong of a ride that is.

Nice job hitting your goal weight Shane! That’s awesome man! I’d take 98 out of 62,000 on pretty much anything. Hard to believe anyone could double that output. Solid session today. Tons of good work. Going heavy on deads again too? Kick a little ass for me! :joy:

Nice work Shane. Cool deal on the sauna. Is the benefit that it basically clears toxins out of your body? Sorry for being too lazy to google it. :joy:

Also, saw this bike on Amazon and it looked tempting at that price point. There are several that are under $300 that look similar.

I love saunas. Whenever I get a sniffle I hit a sauna. Course here in the PI I just do a run and sweat like I’ve been in a sauna. Congrats on the weight lose. Keep it up.

That bike would work Trent. As long as you will use it.

Sent you that link on IG for sauna information. Tons of benefits from it. Mostly cardiovascular, but a lot of other ones that you wouldn’t think of as well.

Yep. I need to use the sauna more. The gym I am back at has a really good one. 185 degrees.

Appreciate it on the weight loss. It is moving pretty well right now.

Added a rep on squats. I’ll take it. They did feel heavy today though. I am going to push another 2 weeks and Deload after that.

Man, that was a massive leg day! :open_mouth: Don’t know how you wait until the end to do squats. (I’m assuming that’s what those were…) That would be really tough. Way to get it done man! :sunglasses:
