I have a history of shoulder issues. Does a PROPERLY executed high pull conflict with this? Specifically speaking of shoulder impingement here. I was thinking perhaps a Chinese pull would be a wiser choice. Your input would be appreciated.

Shoulder issues with the high pull are rare and when they occur they are due more to early arm pull than anything (than the “shoulder issue” is actually an inflamation of the biceps tendon).
Pulling the bar to nipple level will be safe if you are using a snatch/wide grip.
Understood. I’m assuming that if I stop the bar at nipple level, then I can expect inferior mass gains throughout my shoulder girdle compared to a fuller ROM?
Thanks for your reply
