Not sure what you mean, but I’ll take a guess–
Philly raped and Pittsburgh got raped. ![]()
I didn’t get to see any football today. [/quote]
Yes your two teams and sorry I do not understand any football comment.
I’m about half the age cutoff. Am I even allowed to post here?
Anyway, if you don’t mind me asking, what are those reverse grip pulldowns doing in there on triceps day?

Wassup hastalles?
Like these (single or two handed)
This is all about form and feeling and squeezing your triceps (at least for me), not heavy weights.
Ah, thank you! I was imagining some kind of lat pulldown, which didn’t make any sense.
You’re a huge inspiration to me, btw. If you can get that kind of results at your age, I can definitely do it at 18. Thanks for that.

If I’m so old, then why do I still have to sit at the kid’s table?

HA!
Well, I’m limiting my primary carbs to rice and sweet potatoes for now (and to some extent peas)- two days of those.
I’ve got to get my blood profile back in the ‘all is cool’ bracket. That will take some weeks. I think I have another panel done in 4 weeks, so diet will be immaculate until I get the results back from that.
Weighed myself this morning. Down 10 lbs (@255#)
The only place I’ve notice some strength loss seems to be in my leg intensity. Now, that could be because I do legs mid-week and have already done heavy everything. Could just be mental, could be because I’ve added several days of stepmill (I think that’s a lot to do with it) so I’m not totally recovered in the legs.
I’ll work that out, though.
No caffeine either. I’m actually feeling better now with that after a few weeks. I’ve always been a stimulant fiend and thing going cold on the caff/methylxanthines/stims is doing good for the adrenals, which of course affects everything else (test, insulin, etc).
I don’t feel so bloated, either. I just don’t want to lose too much too fast.
Benchy-poo:
w/u
x10
x5
x3
x1 (submax, but not good for 2 reps. These went up waay easy)
x1
Drop set: x1 + x2 + x6
2 boards: x3, x3
Negative x 3
Stretch chest/delts
Had to make it short and sweet. Bench is down. I think a deload is in order (been doing 2 a week flat/incl.)
I’m sticking at 2 board height – so, if anyone is reading, what’s the cure-- two board presses? Do I start from the sticking point or start below (like 1-board) to work through that weak point? It’s like where my triceps kick in. Usually, if I can get past 2 boards, I can lock it out.
speed work - vary your grips done from pins bottom resting position.
Illegal wide
regular
close grip
50%x3 all 3 grips 3 times through. 1 minute breaks between sets. Do this on your shoulder day.
Next week goto 55% then week 3 goto 60%
Reason I pick pins is it teaches you to explode/while staying tight unlike when guys do speed work without coaching they fly through exercise just trying to go “fast” and they complain speed work does not work for me.
Also rotate heavy flat dbell presses where you go deep on these - after the max effort lift.
Hope this helps

“speed work” = fast reps or speed off the bottom? Do I pause at bottom or just rock out the reps?
I’ve been doing the ‘3-grip’ thing past few weeks - 30s after each grip and 10s after reps if I don’t get to ten (so wide x 10, 30s, close x 10, 30s, regular x 5, 10s, x3, 10s, x2 etc). BUT, I’ve been doing them after my regular bench.
I’ll consider your way moving that to shoulder day (I’m assuming after shoulders).
re: heavy dumbbells-- I’ve been doing BB flat bench then incl. dbs (see previous posts), then 2nd day incl. bb + flat db. If I try this, I’ll probably lose the incl. BB altogether. Can this still fit into the workout? Honestly, I think I get more developmetn out of incl. dbs
Thanks for the suggestion.
