I would highly doubt you could ever verify that a single thing like some high rep rows is what is making your back big. Maybe MMC got better. Maybe recovery was better ect

I do them because they are fun and hard as fuck and leave me gassed with a back pump for ages. So good for growth yes I believe so but my form is tighter than most ppl advise for “Kroc rows” which is why I don’t say I do Kroc rows

Yes.

I am not doing them right now because of my focus on olympic variants and high pulls for back work (and daily frequency so no soreness). However at the time, absolutely no question. Deadlift got stronger and so did squat. And my back got thicker.

Not true. It has to be recognizable as a row for it to qualify, and most of the abominations I’ve seen masquerading as same are nowhere near. Krocs videos themselves are all recognizable as rows with some body english. But still rows that hit the back and not spasms. I think he only seriously breaks down in a couple of them (and at the very last few reps, but again…normal).

So in other words I think you qualify better than most lol.

Also, I apparently need to reevaluate what I thought a Kroc Row was by definition. I am apparently still unclear, even after watching the video.

Funny enough I agree with him about shrugs. My traps are the same way and I do shrugs the same way heavy as possible and move the weight.
