You likey better than sldl? I would like to do more hamstring work, but I get so much out of deadlifts and squats that I never felt the need.
lol

you know I write rdl but I don’t really worry about which one of those two I’m really doing, so I’m not really sure which one I’m doing. I figure since I’m doing a rep day during the weedays that this exercise fits in here pretty well and I can do regular deads on the heavier day.

Way to rep out them squats. I hate reps. Hate them! Powerlifting FTW! haha

Making some good progress man, keep kicking ass.
squats for reps will kick your ass! try a squat dropset and everything else you do seems so much easier haha. lol thanks man

thanks! the actual pr was on the squat machine but I’ll take it! although 245x12 is definitely a post injury pr

oh caaanaaadeeehhh…

pretty nice canada day. went to the park and watched some bands play, talked to some interesting people then had a bbq and watched a drive in movie with my uncles kids by a lake (rango).

here’s a pic I snapped by the park, was super nice out. wellI’m pretty tired so take it easy internetland

squat
295 two singles, felt bad so I stopped there.

I’ll try again later I guess, sucks.

awesome day out and about man. How was rango?

Regarding the squats, you’ll get it dude. Some days are better than others.

rango was pretty damn funny actually, quite a few jokes that went over the kids heads but got a few chuckles from the adults. recommended

thanks, I’m gonna give my lowerback a week off of lifting and see if that helps. I haven’t really let it heal properly and everytime I try to get back into the swing I end up taking two steps back, time to just let it recover completely. Going to do some cardio instead and maybe some machine work.

Not really, only have mats and the foam rollers. Probably really effective, much like deadlifting heavy from different heights.

possibly, seems like they don’t get too much love in this forum though, although I get to hold a bit more weight than usual which can’t hurt. also apparently did them wrong as you’re supposed to let the bar sink into the board before pressing

Good work Trav despite the difficult schedule.

Since you have this type of schedule, look into modafinil. Depending on it’s availability it might help you out. Even if you don’t it could make for interesting reading regarding some of the research that has been done on it.

thanks man, interesting read for sure. I bet there are some guys I work with that could use that, but I’ll stick to these until they stop working.

wednesday tried some deads, worked up to 315 for a few singles but wasn’t feeling it, still not ready for that amount of stress on the lb

today:

front squat
worked up to 275x2

+other stuff that isn’t very interesting

Maybe I missed it, but what’s up with your back? Good luck getting that night shift straightened out, that’s gotta be a tough adjustment

lumbar muscle strain pulling with my belt riding high but low on the front, it’s almost healed up although my impatience has prolonged my recovery, I shopuld probably not even attempt any high % work for a while just so it gets to 100%. shift work kind of sucks but the money and the actual job are good, just not the schedule but really it’s the equivalent to a 9-5 now so it’s nothing too crazy.
