x2…what is it now…1.4 million every year in the U.S. are murdered. And, 60 million world wide every year. Because you know Christians are committing all this genocide.

You make it OVER and OVER and OVER. Then you try to pull this bullshit:
“So, even though the Bible is not fallible, it is not infallible either.”
Inerrant and infallible are not the same thing, sorry brother.
How many times do I have to say that I would never condone the killing of a child. Divine revelation is done and God will never ask anyone to do such a thing. I am NOT a menace to society. The story of Joshua was thousands of years ago.
Judging from your extreme hate talk Im starting to worry about my safety.
Of course you condone it. Just because you hand off a sword to someone else and let them make the tough choices, doesn’t mean you aren’t condoning it.
And stop worrying about your safety, unlike Christians, CappedAndPlanIt has the ability to act Christ-like.

I guess I’ll have to explain it OVER and OVER and OVER, until you get it.
Infallible deals with an active agent…like you or me or a person, not a book. Inerrant deals with the Bible.
Do you get it now? Or, are you going to past what I said about the Bible again?

You are saying something is not infallible while claiming it isn’t fallible.
No, makes sense.

I see. I was pointing out that you can’t describe the Bible by the term fallible or infallible, because the word “fallible” is something that is only can describe an active agents teaching, like Obama is fallible, and Bush is fallible; however, the constitution can’t be fallible and it can’t be infallible, because it is not an active agent, it can’t teach.
However, the Bible can be inerrant, because inerrant is describing formal errors, not correctness of its teaching, as the Bible can’t teach. See what I am saying?

Oh please.
He changed his mind once, He can do it again.
Now you can say He promised not to, but that does of course mean taking His word for it which is kind of a circular of seeing things.

Yeah. That post was a little sloppy. It was supposed to read:
“No, a second purpose was to prohibit state endorsement of any PARTICULAR religion. But I agree that today’s extreme interpretation is not what was originally intended. Prohibitions on a moment of silence in homeroom at school are simply ridiculous. I’m surprised there hasn’t been an impetus to remove “In God we Trust” from coins. Or maybe there has been…”
But you guys got the idea.

That wasn’t belligerent, he had a valid argument. What they were doing in the synagogue was against the rules. There is a difference between righteous indignation and going around everywhere throwing a tantrum. Now, if you want to take a deep breath with me and behave in a civil manner, I think our conversations will go better, brother.

Chris - tried talking to Tirib about this, he seems to have dropped the line of conversation, so I’ll ask you.
If you and someone else both believe in mutually exclusive things, how do you come to an understanding or solution other than each of you saying “No, I’M right.” over and over again?
The reason us silly atheists on here keep harping about reason is that reason is the way people can communicate between each other. Your subjective beliefs and experiences mean nothing to me, and mine mean nothing to you. But if we’re going to be affecting each other, we need to find a way to communicate that means something to the both of us.
