Self humiliation

What is the most embarressing thing you have said or done? Here’s mine, about 17 yrs ago (thank goodness) I was shopping with my gf, and in the same shop was someone I knew, we each said hello and I introduced my gf to him. He obviously didn’t catch what I said because I thought he was someone else, we started to talk and I asked where he worked, he said where and I replied, “I know someone else who works there, Paul Shearer”, at this point the person looked at me weird and said “that’s me”. Talk about feeling stupid, I apologised and explained my error, then left. Still cringe about it.
