Has anyone done drawn their own blood and sent to to a laboratory for analysis? I live in Mass. and the labs here say that they will only draw blood with a doctors order? Is this a federal law or has anyone done this without a doctor.
I know that T-Mag had an article on at home siliva testing but I wanted a broad spectrum blood test - The silva test is just T and cortisol.
What do you want to have tested? All blood work has to be done under a physician’s order. In a lot of cases, the doc provides a clinic with a blanket release and they can test for cholesterol, glucose and some hormones. It really all depends. It also should not be that hard to find a doc who is willing to test you as long as your interest is reasonable. Just be honest and explain what you want. I’m sure you can find somebody easily. Just be sure to be willing to pay for whatever you need especially if it is for personal interest because insurance won’t likely pay for it unless the doc fudges a reason.
