Haha, thanks homie.

I’m pretty much bigger than all cattle and look like a condom crammed full of walnuts and there’s no way I’m letting anyone in on my secret.

In 2007 I was 150 pounds and couldnt see my abs when i flexed. Today I am 208 with abs.

What is there to laugh about? What is it about my progress that you find so hilarious? You dont like seeing people meeting their goals to get bigger?
your advice is hilarious, one guy needed OVERALL mass and you said he needed to work on his forearms…?
Wake up dude! Forearms are hard to Grow!!! I wish I had started training mine 6 months ago!!!

There are 5 muscles in the forearms that I train

flexors
extensors
grippers (think captains of crush)
pronator
supinator

I am going for Lee Priest sized forearms. You have to train directly to get them big. I reccomend others to train them directly. So does Christian Thibaudeau

 1. They don’t perform any direct forearm work, but get their forearm stimulation from the curls and pulling movements they’re doing.

 2. They do include some form of direct forearm work, but generally train them as an afterthought, with a few sets of wrist curls and reverse curls here and there.

I admit that for some people these methods might be enough to squeeze some growth out of their forearms. For most, however, it’ll lead to suboptimal gains and a functional imbalance: you’re much stronger in some actions (such as wrist flexion and elbow supination) than in others.

your an idiot.

The OP isn’t absolutely wrong in his stance, nor is he absolutely right.

This issue is not as simple as some are making it out to be, for this is the forum for bodybuilding and since bodybuilding is more about the muscular physique than it is about the body’s strength, it makes logical sense that those espousing tactics on how to become more muscular would themselves be muscular as well (which is where the demand for proof in the form of pictures of their progress comes into play).

This same demand would also be credible had it been posted in the power-lifting thread and the demand had more emphasis on lifting videos, for power-lifting is more about strength.

In both given instances, it makes absolute sense to want to make sure the person giving advise has some semblance of what the fuck they’re talking about (do you practice what you preach, motherfucker?).

And as stated prior, this is the bodybuilding forum, a forum for a purely visual sport.

…the OP isn’t a fool for thinking like this…

Also, do the powerlifters around here get this kind of shit?
Not really…cuz they don’t care. At least the ones whose threads I follow. If your full of shit, the only one your shitting on is yourself. Over in the old folks forum, there isn’t this kind of shit going on for the same reason. We are too old to lie about our shit, or care if someone else is full of shit. Trollers get ignored and they just ‘go away’.

I agree celtics is weird but I don’t think hes way off base. How does anyone know if they should listen to your advice?

Maybe whats really ‘ruining’ these forums is the instant flame of anyone presenting an opinion. And ignoring the topic to continue running inside jokes between members.
That pretty much sums up my feelings as well. When ever advice is being questioned as valid, pics are called for. One thing I’m sick of are these private profiles. I noticed debrad has a public account. If she is out there, some of you guys need to come out as well.
You both need to go back and read OPs post. He’s calling for the bigger guys (most of whom have posted many, many pictures of themselves on this site already) to post monthly progress shots. These guys do not owe anyone on this site a damn thing. This OPs expectation that some perfect strangers who are offering their advice should post videos and pictures on a monthly basis is fucking retarded.
The OP went about it totally arse-ways! I understand where he is coming from because more times than not people ARE asked to back up what they preach, and in a BB forum it makes perfect sense! Now asking for bi-monthly updates and fucking videos is insane! ‘Insisting’ people post pics is also insane, how about asking them?

Anyway, as Lanky already pointed out, most of the big guys have posted pics in the past but they have been lost into the ether.

Now if they call YOU out then insist on their credentials, nothing wrong with that!

I agree with Eli B that the instant flame fest that ensues after an alternate opinion is aired is so predictable its tiresome. Where’s the discussion? In this instance though the flaming was warranted as the OP came across like a mad fucker.

Entertaining stuff all the same…

Maybe people don’t have the OP’s perception problem (see the clear case of ILS in avi), or rather the inverse problem: rather than being full of themselves and putting up pics that aren’t that great, they feel they still have a ways to go before they have any business posting… or they don’t want freaks hounding them on the internet. Either one.

Was the “condoms crammed full of walnuts” line something Clive James said about Arnold? I’m sure I read that somewhere…

It’s from one of the Lee Child books about big MF Jack Reacher. Great books!

Everyone that OP called out has posted many, many pics on this site (except CC I believe, whose posts show more knowledge about bodybuilding than 90% of this forum combined).

No i said bi-monthly. I am asking why is it such a big deal. No need to get nasty, dude. I encourage you to start your own progress pics. I know you have a youtube channel.
You have me confused with someone else, I don’t have a youtube channel. And none of the bigger members owe you monthly or bi monthly progress pics. None of those members have to post here at all. It’s already obvious they know what they’re doing, they’re already big as hell. Why do you need to see more pics? To reinforce the fact that they know what they’re doing? Do you think after they got huge they forgot?

How bout we not have so much “bullshitting ruining these forums”. Cant we all get along? But seriously, if people didnt bitch and just talked about how to improve according to the individual, this place would be a helluva lot better.

Celtics. I was going to call you a bitch but… you are actually seeing good gains and have good progress to show for it. Why the need for the callouts?? Can you not be satisfied with the info from the “bigger guys” on here, which might i add is, free and experience-based, which is almost, if not better than all the scientific bullshit you get on the internet.

I, like many others come here to learn, apply said information learnt, and wait for the gains or improvements in whatever area. If it doesnt work, i chuck it in the bin or in the “rainy day” pile, and continue in search for any information needed.

Spend more time asking well thought out questions and applying the information (filtered for bullshit of course) to yourself. Which it obviously looks like you are… which begs the question? Why the fuck are you doing it here?? Are you in t-cell, cos if you are… please dont fuck it by bringing this sorta shit there, or i’ll, i’ll… get C_C after you and get him to crush you with his steel glutes. (as displayed by deb previously).
And THIS is exactly why you are a nutcase.

Someone’s advanced progress has no relevance to your own. Seeing it would be nice just because it’s cool to see that kind of stuff but not because anyone should base their own progress on someone else. Do you honestly think that you will make the same progress as someone like Prof X at 35 years old? It’s possible but what’s the relevance to you?

Do you want to see 250+ lb guys in their mid thirties making progress SIMPLY to know it is in fact possible to do that? That’s also crazy in my opinion. Anything somewhat reasonable should be considered possible. I wouldnt need to see pictures of guys 10-15 years older than me making progress to reaffirm my thought that it can be done.

Just keep on with the progress you are making. Youre doing fine. Why does it matter what anyone else does? Not everyone lifts weights to compare themselves to other people. If you do, fine. But dont expect other people to share your mindset.

I’m going to have to go with most and say the OP can go kick rocks. While I can understand wanting to see physical proof of someone’s build and whatnot, I think he just needs to invest the seconds it takes to look for previous threads from the the subjects of his wrath. For me, common sense steps in the door as a lot of what people like Prof X and Cephalic C put out is backed up with proper research, AND the fact that an overwhelming amount of people seek them out for advice and guidance. I’ve never seen a pic of CC, however, after putting in 15+ years of work in and out of the gym, I know a lot of what he puts out is accurate. The OP needs to check himself. Nobody owes him a damned thing. He’s entitled to nothing. The advice given on these forums can be taken or left, his choice. And calling people out on a public forum the way he did is very much inappropriate. If he has an issue with them, he should have sent PMs to them.

I don’t think they should have to post monthly progress pics or videos. I was agreeing that the op is not way off base in requesting pics.

What is the difference between looking at men in their mid 30s like Jay and Dex and commenting on how they have improved and the biggest posters on this forum?
BONEZ217 wrote:

I believe that most professional bodybuilders have my same mindset. I am trying to get to their size. Seeing some pictures of Cephalic Carnage with his face blurred and possible tattoos blurred out would help me see what is possible naturally after 15 years.

Seeing Prof X doing a pose in good lighting in something other than most muscular would help me see what is possible as well. I am curious to see what his lats look like and his low back.

To take it a step further, I would want to see what Bret Contreras’s glutes look like. Since he is the glute guy, has written books on glutes and can hip thrust 495 for 5 reps. I’m at 285 for 12 for reference.

Not too shabby, Rock. How’s life after death treating you?

To the OP: Why is that any of your business?

Use a bit pf common sense before pressing submit (post) and you will be a much more positive force in this board

I am curious what 10 and 15 years of hard training looks like. I am interested in what people who write books on glutes and hip thrust 495 look like. Bodybuilding is a visual sport.
