no clue haha! I’m waiting on a pro squatter I ordered on saturday, gonna try pulling in that on monday straight weight full range and we’ll see…

What size did you get Mr. Big Butt?

HAHA! Mr. Big Butt, you have no idea…serious junk in my trunk.

NEways, I got a 48, my briefs are 44’s and they’re pretty snug in the legs and just took them in 1/2" on each hip, so we’ll see how the suit fits, followed that whole add 4inches to your hip measurement thingy, so whatevs…[/quote]

If you’re not wearing briefs underneath, it’ll be tight. If you are wearing briefs, you will be like a stuffed sausage. The pop out of the Pro Squatter is awesome though. Add a pair of Viking or Ace briefs, and you have a great combo.

ME Bench: 9/4/08

Didn’t go too crazy tonight, spending a week out of the shirt to give my cns a little break.

Raw Bench:
add 115lbs of chain to all sets, comp grip
barx3
135x3
185x3
225x1
275x1
305xmiss
225x5x2sets

Band Pushdowns:
purplex10x2sets overhead
greensx12x2sets standing

God Bless.

ME Lower: 9/5/08
Layed up tonight too, really just wanted to try brief and suit combo but suit ordered was too small, sending back and getting an ace instead (evil laugh)

briefs were pinched and feel awesome!
Squats:
add metal viking briefs
225x2x2sets
415x1
add t-rex straps down no wraps
505x1, cake
595x1 - flew up, back was a little fatigued though so I shut it down here.

GHR:
bwx12x2sets

1leg GHR:
bwx5x2sets/leg

God Bless.

Figured the suit would be too tight. How far up were you able to get it to go?

So you went with the Ace instead, huh. What size did you put in for that one? I have a 50 and even without briefs it’s pretty darn tight. I don’t know if the T-Rex is similar, but be prepared for those thick-ass straps. You’ll probably have to move the bar up a bit.

BTW, who pinched your briefs?

I’m getting a 52, called and got a hold of Jim Wendler and we decided that the 52 would probably work out. Not too worried about the straps, but then again who knows, t-rex straps are wide like the metal’s but i don’t know about the thickness. We’ll see. Ever try pulling sumo in it???

DE Upper: 9/7/08

Speed Bench:
dbl monster mini’s, alt grips

145x3x8sets

Slight Incline DB Bench:
125’sx9 - new rep PR
125’sx9
125’sx10- newer rep PR!

Seated BB Shoulder Press:
add Dbl Mini’s
125x10
125x8
125x9

Flat Tate Press:
60’sx10x4sets

Overhead Rope Ext:
70x8
90x8x2sets

God Bless.

I love my Ace. It is a chunky, thick, springy something of suit. Novaeer is right about the straps though- they are really thick, so the bar doesn’t quite sink as much as you’re used to.

By the way, are you or any of your crew lifting in IPA Sr. Nats?

I have indeed, and plan on using it in that capacity at the meet at the end of the month. The bulky straps are a little aggravating, but if the suit fits tight like it should you get great pop off da flo’.

I plan on doing the IPA Sr. Nats, not sure who else is doing it, John said he might, and a couple of our other guys are on the fence about it but want to too. So we’ll see. As long as everything goes well and I can get a handler to come with me I’m down for it. One of our guys actually has a house a half hour from the meet so it should be a simple trip even if I have to cut weight. You doing it too Pinto???

I’m toying with it, there are a couple big meets right about the same time I’m looking at- IPA Sr. Nats and APF Southern States. Southern States is always a great meet with good equipment and a good turnout of badass lifters. I’ve done it the last two years.

However, me and a couple other guys I lift with are thinking the IPA Seniors would be a pretty cool change. The downside is that York is about a 10-12 drive from Atlanta.

Yah that’s a rough drive, but from what I hear a good number of westside guys are going to be there. Who wouldn’t want to lift in the powerlifting hall of fame either? One of our guys has lifted there a couple of times and said it’s a great meet, so I figured why not through myself into a national level meet there. From where I am on Long Island it’s only a 3 or 4 hour drive.

Nice pull. I assume you got a vid of it, or it didn’t really happen ;-).

ouch! Nope, no vid, camera showed up 15 mins after the pull, that’s ok though b/c the last vid he got me with 605 in the bucket, but it cut off on the way up. So no vid, but I do have witnesses haha. I wouldn’t have posted it anyway, ugly! Then I would’ve had the barrage of was it hitched wasn’t it hitched. It was no strongman pull, but I would say 3 whites on the first, maybe 2 on the 2nd hahahaha.
