Sayjin's 'Pre-Clinic' Clinic

So the workout went well today. The squats are progressing nicely, and while I know the days of adding 10lbs from workout to workout are gone, I’m more than happy making 15lb/week progress, especially as I’m getting closer to the mythical 3 plates on each side of the bar.

Hit 195 on the bench press with relative ease. I always start to struggle on the last 2 reps, but its nothing I haven’t been able to push through so far. I’m going to start doing them from the bottom position on the safety pins, because I can’t reach up for the bar without losing the tightness in my back.

Deadlift…I dropped the weight to something I could do with only minor difficulty. The weight I was using before was simply too much and I’m not ashamed to admit I’m a weak bastard lol. 10lbs per workout is my goal when I deadlift once a week, 5lbs when I deadlift twice a week. I’m just tired of seeing kids that are 50lbs lighter than me deadlifting more than me!

I reckon I’ll be down to 185 tomorrow.

Tmoneyyyyyyy! Whats up chief?! Glad you like the taste of the Superfood. You know what makes me sad though? I know one day my supply will run out, and I still have my unfinished bottle of Greens to go through, since I’m not one to waste money. Its like going from eating a steak to eating a turd =(

How’s your break going, 1 more week, right?
[/quote]

What up Sayjin? All is good in the hood bro. Yeah I hear ya on the Greens. My suggestion would be to go through the Greens now, and save the Superfood for later. That way, you get the pain out of the way, and can enjoy the good stuff down the road. Eat the turd now and the steak afterwards.

Break was good thanks. Nah, spring break was just last week, back in class this week. How is school going for you?

Heh…its coming along. I cant wait to be done with accounting, and I’ll be happy if I get a C as well! I’m behind on some reading thats due tomorrow, so I’m pretty much going to be up all night tonight aside from a 2-3 hour nap, so I’m going to spread my meals out some more, but after tomorrow things will be back on track.

Tuesday

Weight: 185

Meal 1 - 4oz steak, broccoli

Meal 2 - 3oz chicken breast, broccoli, 1tbsp EVOO

Meal 3 - 3oz chicken breast, broccoli, 1oz almonds

Meal 4 - 4oz steak, broccoli

Meal 5 - 2oz chicken breast, 10g almonds

Meal 6 - 2 scoop low carb Metabolic Drive, 2tbsp flax meal, 1 serving Superfood

Today is the return of the NEPA walks as well. I’ve cut them out because usually within 10min I’d get major chaffing and made it very uncomfortable to continue, but I think I’ve found a solution to that problem. With the way gas is here in MI, I think I may just park the car and walk to and from school now, since its only 4 miles away.

Hey Sayjin, took me awhile to read up on your thread (just found it today), but mad props to you. Keep up the good work, your approach is definitely inspirational. I’ll keep up on your thread. Be easy man

Hey Sabre, thanks for your vote of support! I’m glad more people are stopping by now, because its pretty lonely in here despite the number of views the thread is getting.

Just got back from my NEPA walk - 30min on the treadmill at 3.5mph with the incline set to 4. Chaffing is still a problem, because half way through the session I started walking like the Hamburgler, but I’m going to check out some sites to see how to resolve this.

Have you tried Gold Bond or baby powder? What kind of shorts/pants are you wearing? Sometimes polyester will cause chaffing if worn for a long period of time, so maybe switch to cotton shorts if that’s the problem.

Hamburgler = cool
Sayjin = cool

Hamburgler = fat
Sayjin = lean :slight_smile:

Nope, I haven’t tried those yet, but I’ll certainly give them a try. I only have one pair of shorts to my name, so I usually wear cotton sweatpants. Maybe I’ll experiment with 3am nude NEPA and see how that works. Police report will be posted as well =p.

Thoughts

I’m really glad that I decided to give the AD another try, because I was certain that I wouldn’t after how crappy I felt last time. This time though, I can finally attest to the energy boost that I get, or maybe its just because my insulin levels are constantly stable…I don’t know, but I don’t care either! And those constant yawns that I complained about before? They’re completely gone now!

I’ve also noticed that being under the bar 3 days a week has really increased my conditioning. Before when I squatted, I’d be out of breath like Steven Seagul, but now thats become drastically reduced/non-existent even though the weights continue to move up.

Based on my numbers so far…I call 181 by Friday or bust!

Hey Tmoney, just changed the avatar - sorry!

Workout (4pm)

Squat - 290 (3x5)
Military Press - 125 (2x5, 1x4)
Pendlay Row - 140 (3x5)

30min PWO cardio

Today was the first day that I failed to hit all 5 reps on an exercise. I used 2 minutes rest on the press and upped the weight 5lbs from my last workout. I want to say the reason I didnt hit all my reps is because I used short rest periods, but I think its a combination of that as well as the 5lb jump, so on Monday I’m going to drop the weight down to 122.5 and adds 2.5lbs per workout.

HAHAHAHAHA!!! Just make sure you are rockin the fro in the mugshot, that’s all I ask.

It’s all good on the avatar, looks like you are keeping the theme of one guy owning the other in a violent manner.

I think this is gonna hurt you more than its gonna hurt me: The fro is most likely going to be gone for next weeks pictures! Summer is coming up soon, and this mass of hair is like wearing a sweater on my head.

Jesus I’m so hungry today and I’m not sure why. I just had my first serving of steak and a ton of broccoli, but my stomach is screaming for more. I can’t wait to get off work so I can eat and go to bed, otherwise its going to be a real battle to avoid eating again.

Thursday

Weight - 184.5

So, my weight is up a pound despite working out with 30min PWO cardio yesterday. After putting on my Sherlock Holmes hat, I think I can attribute this to my lack of potty time as of recently, since I haven’t gone since Tuesday afternoon.

In light of this, I’ve decided to have a V-Diet day where I use Metabolic Drive as my main protein source, but where I also use flaxmeal and fish oil as my main fiber/fat choice while still staying under 30g carbs.

Meal 1 - 2 scoop Low-Carb Metabolic Drive Vanilla, 2 tbsp flax meal

Meal 2 - 2 scoop Low-Carb Metabolic Drive Vanilla, 2tbsp flaxmeal, 2tsp fish oil

Meal 3 - 2 scoop Low-Carb Metabolic Drive Vanilla, 2tbsp flax meal, 2tsp fish oil

Meal 4 - 2 scoop Low-Carb Metabolic Drive Orange, 2tbsp flax meal, 2tsp fish oil

Meal 5 - 1 scoop Low-Carb Metabolic Drive Orange, 2tbsp flax meal, 2tsp fish oil, 1 serving Superfood

195g Protein
76.5g Fat
24g Carbs
20g Fiber

If this doesn’t give me any toilet time, then…shit!

Yeah I understand completely. I have a small ponytail that I tie back like the sumo-wrestler in the pic (that’s not me I promise), and it gets pretty hot in the summer, so I understand.

Of course, no pun intended.
