Saturated Fat in Protein Bars

Has anyone else noticed that all protein bars are packed with saturated fat?

It seems as though they all contain ample amounts of “Fractionated Palm Kernel Oil”.

I have heard this type of fat is 50% MCT’s, which supposedly is good.

Should I just ignore this high saturated fat content becuase it is mostly from MCT’s or avoid as I would other Saturated fats?

thanks,

If you’re concerned about your health, you should just ignore these glorified candy bars disguised as something healthy.

I would have to agree with litespeed about ignoring the majority of protein bars on the market. Personally i have never even been tempted to eat one.
One little comment in your post concerned me though. You say you avoid saturated fat. Why? I understand that saturated fat has important role to play in a healthy and balanced diet. It has been said by some of the nutrition gurus who write for this site that one third of your daily fat intake should come from saturated fat.
