I’ve tripled 435 before, but this is new. Not easy, but wasn’t a max effort either. Good sign.

Was feeling hip/groin again on the second set so…

no twangs and had 3 more in the tank. It seems to be a weight threshold thing. Still, I got farther this time, so it’s getting better. I think next squat day will go well.

Had another instance tonight of a guy coming up after the lift and telling me, ā€œDude I thought you were going to front squat that.ā€ Feels good, man.

This program is very good. If I do the minimum to support recovery, I just keep improving.

If I actually tried to optimize recovery, I’d probably be doing so well people would think I’m on steroids.

AI kept me at the same weight on development and assistance exercises tonight. I resolved to stick to prescribed weights on those and opted for reps on the bodybuilding stuff. Joints are definitely happier for it.

A kid watching me bench said he thought it was awesome and asked how long I’d been benching that much. ā€œJust now,ā€ I told him. I’ve actually done more, but that’s been so long ago now that I don’t count it.

I’m absolutely certain now that I’ve got a double in me at 465. Maybe even a triple.

Box squat went well. Just gotta keep the pressure equal on both legs. That keeps the left hip happy.

I feel like a unit from my shoulders to my tush. Triceps feel strong. I think push presses will go well on Monday if I keep fed.
