Carries are a really big hole in my game.

I had to carry a pressure washer for some distance yesterday, and though it wasn’t particularly heavy, the activity lit up my butt and hamstrings. Since I’m ostensibly training to keep strength and mobility into my 70’s this is an unacceptable weakness.

I use the cable crossover machine, so that was the whole stack, printed weight 200. Looks badass, but probably isn’t. That machine is easier on the elbows somehow, but I also think it isn’t really 100 lbs.

They do help me on heavier axle presses as I have small hands and wrists, but ain’t doing much for me on a power bar.

That’s it. I’m fried from keeping up with the release schedule at work and doing a bunch of handyman work off-hours this last week. Spent a lot of time on my knees sanding and painting. Even with kneepads my left knee got angry. Live to fight another day.

The main things I care about got done adequately tonight.

With regards to your knee, have you ever tried certain peptides? I got BPC-157 for to help heal my Injured calf…its really helped. But i know a lot of guys in their 50s and 60s that use it in specifically for sore knees. Maybe worth looking intošŸ‘

I think it’s just really sore and doesn’t have anything structurally wrong with it. Probably an expression of accumulated stress, indicating I either need to back off a little or formally deload. I’ve been going gangbusters the last two months and particularly hard this last few weeks. It wouldn’t hurt to coast for a week on pump work.
