Was on the DL platform tonight and the bands hook in about 6 inches lower than in the rack. Big difference. I had to keep accelerating from just below the knee to lock out. 495 was an RPE 8.5. I’m ecstatic, in a 60-year-old sorta way.

I’m pretty sure that it’s just a timing coincidence. There’s only one DL platform and it’s right in front of the only rack where you can place the glute raise pad. If there’s a problem, it’s actually a lack of focus on my part and not anything anyone else is doing.

My gym has ā€œgraduatedā€ to glute raise hammer strength (don’t know, haven’t looked) looking type machines. If only Bret Contreras had been a better businessman/patent filer(?).
