Awesome, I’m moving to Carlsbad in 2 months. Can anyone reccomend a good gym around that area? I got a LA fitness memberhsip already which is fine bc mine is awesome and they don’t care what I do, but that could probably not be the case, dunno of course.
I’m in the Imperial Valley currently, about 1 and a half away from SD, however I do travel there often. In a couple of sememsters I’ll be transfering to CSUSM or perhaps SDSU.
I realize I’m resurrecting a long-dead thread, but I’m curious where the other San Diego-area T-Nationers are.
I live in Del Mar, train at the Pacific Athletic Club in Carmel Valley (closest gym to me but it’s not my ideal facility by any means) and am thinking of switching to Frog’s. Anyone train at either one of those?

Not SD but I am in Orange County. I could easily make the drive one day. Actually, I could easily make the train ride one day, considering the gas prices.

Frog’s, right next door in Encinitas. A block from the ocean, too.
(Hand raised) Oceanside, Home gym after I quit the 24 hour thing.
Downtown San Diego. Kegrice Gym. Somewhat limited hours, but if you’re looking for a powerlifting/strongman gym, this is the only one around.
Live in Del Mar, lift at La Jolla Sporting Club. Not the best gym but is close to work.
Not to hijak but my wife and I took our honeymoon in San Diego last year and absolutely loved the area.

is that the one in downtown la jolla, in that maroon-colored mixed-use building?
North County San Diego. I lift at The Encinitas Boxing Club. I love it because practically no one uses the power racks except for me.
One more for San Diego, I work out at the 24hour Fatness Sport in Bonita/Chula Vista.
