I was very close to not being able to hold the bar in my hands anymore… Gotta get some straps.
Throw in grip work. I never did have a problem with grip, but that’s just me. @T3hPwnisher can fill you in on the details. Use straps, train your grip separately. No reason to be capping your deadlift sets early because of grip issues.
I don’t check in here too often, but everytime I do I’m impressed by the consistency and progress. No fireworks, no drama, just slowly plugging away at the stuff you need to do and getting the rewards. Good work man. Hope everything’s well with you.

My favorite approach is, at the end of the deadlift workout, take some weight off the bar and pull a double overhand rep. Hold for time. When you hit 90 seconds, add weight and start over.
