Well I’m not the one that instigated the hostile personal attacks. [/quote]
Not really sure what that has to do with anything, but what ever.
I think the standards people set for themselves makes a huge difference. I ran track in high school, and went into college weighing 150lbs. I happen to think that I looked sickly, but comparing to this guys pics, maybe I should have written a book.
True, not everyone is Jacked, but in my humble opinion, I at least tried to aim for something that would require me to bust my ass to accomplish (hence the confidence that comes from training). Along the way, while I’m no pro BBer (nor did I ever want to be), I think I accomplished a hell of a lot in terms of progress. Sure, there are those kids in school who pray for a 70 on a test, and when they get it, they’re thrilled. I was one of the kids who prayed (and studied) for a 100 on a test, and if I got a 95, I was damn content with it.
Too many newbs on this site get their damn panties in a bunch if anyone says something that they disagree with. Man up bitches.

Sounds like you’re indirectly lumping me into this group of newbs - I’ve been reading this site since 1999.
As far as disagreeing that is how a forum generates discussion. It would be pretty dull if everyone had the same opinion now wouldn’t it? Of course that doesn’t mean people should be disrespectful and instigate personal attacks on others like rainjack does.

If you have truly been reading T-Nation/T-mag/Magnum since 1999, you would know that I have come no where near a personal attack. I think you are just a tad bit overly sensitive when someone is honest. I don’t do diplomacy. You get exactly what I am thinking. Disrespectful? Maybe. But have you done anything to earn my respect? Not that I care either way.
I still find it disturbing that you claim not to know this guy, but posted a shirtless picture of him.

Sorry I haven’t followed you’re every post since you signed up so that I could ascertain what constitutes a personal attack from rainjack. I’m more intersted in the articles then posting or reading the forums for the most part. Irregardless, in my book a personal attack is inclusive of telling me I creamed my panties and implying that I’m gay, calling me a dipshit, and a skinny twink worshiper.
And how is that disturbing, I wanted to see what the guy looked like, to see what level of shape he was in, so I googled him. Then I posted it so others could see what he looked like - can’t really make a judgement on someone from a face shot.

Let it go, Jethro. You obviously never read any postings from the old school guys like Goldberg, et al. I don’t care if you have read my posts or not.
I would think that someone bragging about being around the site for 9 fucking years would have a clue about the attitude. But no, you are more concerned about your feelings. Fine.
Maybe you should just go back to reading articles.

Maybe I don’t agree with the attitude of the forums is all. I’m sure most of you don’t talk like a jackass to people in real life. All it is, is internet tough guy talk.

If you don’t agree with the attitude - don’t participate.
I am the same person whether typing on my mac, or sitting across the desk from one of my clients.
Oddly enough - my brutal honesty is what my clients appreciate the most about me. If they are doing something stupid, they need to be told they are doing so. Pulling punches and being nice is cheating them.
People that live their lives not wanting to make waves usually never stray to far from the shore.

How does you giving feedback to your clients relate to you resorting to name calling here, or anyone resorting to it for that matter? So you’re telling me you insult them and call them names while providing feedback? Being brutally honest is separate from being a jackass. I can be brutally honest to people without being a jackass about it - it’s called tact.

It is evident that you don’t understand anything I say because you can’t get past the fact that I don’t give a flying fuck about your feelings. I don’t give a fuck about my clients’ feelings either. The difference between them and you is - they are grown up enough to understand my rudeness, and insulting attitude and listen to what I am telling them, not the way I am telling them.
You are the one that started all this bullshit. You posted the gay-assed picture, and then jumped someone’s ass because they doubted that ab-boy had any real knowledge that was book-worthy.
Go find a support group, or take some fucking midol. And please…if you can’t take the heat stay out of the forums. We have enough 15 year-old pussies on here as it is without you helping them.
If you have anything else to say please say it to yourself. You are becoming pathetic.

Huh, what’s that? You talk down to your clients and call them names in a disrespecting tone? Ya bulshit is all I have to say to that, and if you really did they would respect what you had to say a whole lot more if you weren’t such an ass clown about it. Sounds like you bully them if anything if that’s how you actually carry yourself around clients.
I refuted someone when they said he wasn’t in shape. My comment on being qualified was it “really depends on who his audience is”. Ya I really jumped down their throat on that one - not.
I’d say you need a support group far more than I would, considering you seem to have some anger/insecurity issues, which is obvious by your tough guy persona. If you really want to be a tough guy, why don’t you just challenge people to a lift off next time and save yourself all the arguing.

I have been in business for myself for 10 years now, and you can believe me or not. You’re the one who asked.
I love how you get your little panties in a wad over what i say, but you are free to tell me that I have something jabbed up my ass, and basically call me a liar.
Fucking hypocrite much?
Now please stop your fucking crying on here. In your failed effort to out last me, you have hijacked an entire thread. And you accuse me of being a bully?
Good god, son. Just stop. either that, or start another thread dedicated to your hurt feelings over my boorish attitude. I am sure people will flock from miles around to help you cope with the mental abuse you have suffered because of my ruthless typing.
Please. You are now past pathetic.

If you really care that we’ve hijiked the thread, then by all means PM with one of your replies, in fact that’s what I’ll do actually.
Rainjack once murdered one of his clients with a trident. It was the most brutally honest way he could see to get them out of debt.

It wasn’t a trident. That’s just urban legend. It was a letter opener.
The way I see it, if this guy wants to write a book, let him. Doesn’t mean he’s right, it just means he wrote a book.

How is anyone stopping him from writing it? If he has a right to write a book on a subject that he so clearly knows so much about and applies the principles of, we have the right to wonder why the fuck anyone would buy it.

Well, you bring up a good point. Is he qualified enough to write about the subject of his book? I don’t think so–he’s an actor who works out. I’d bet a good amount that a lot of the stuff that’s going to be in his book will be secondary research that he’s applied to his routine/lifestyle. By those general guidelines, most of us here should be able to write books about [insert profession] and working out using the knowledge we have garnered here on these forums and the site.
Writing a book doesn’t make him qualified, which is the point I was getting at.
And you’re right, Professor. Who would buy this book? Unless it’s for a good laugh, I see no justification.
