Russian Military Buildup Outside Ukraine

The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

I think it’s hidden better in the US combined with a higher standard of living most are oblivious to what really goes on.

Big money rules everything in the US like it does everywhere else.

Or your next enemy.

If Alaska is next-to-last, what’s the last place Russia wants back?

Fort Ross and its surroundings, basically Sonoma County CA.

The idea of Hawaii being Russian territory seems ironically misplaced.

Someone needs to tell Russia: IF YOU’RE NOT CONNECTED BY LAND, YOU CAN’T CLAIM IT.

If that were true, trying to draw us into a war in Europe would make sense. And the only sensible thing for us to do would be stay the hell out of the war in Europe.

Like is said, yelling ā€œI don’t want any troubleā€ in a sketchy neighborhood is the best way to get intro trouble. As Russia operates on prison logic, willingness to compromise or to ā€œstay outā€ (whatever that means) is seen as weakness and than in turn fuels deranged Alaska statements and Russian military adventurism. And these people still supposedly have operational nukes.

From a financial perspective, the US defense budget for FY2023 is $773 billion. In FY2022 Ukraine received around $30 billion worth of older hardware that was mostly lying around mothballed. US is basically waging (and winning) a major conventional war against their second major geopolitical foe for less than 5% of its yearly military budget (discounting the value of mothballed weaponry not taken into account) without a single US soldier being in harms’ way for 1/3 to 1/4 of Afghanistan war costs (not Iraq, only Afghanistan).

Even from a purely cynical perspective, arming Ukraine is incredibly cost effective to thwart a major geopolitical bad actor prone to nuclear threats.

I don’t know who says this, but it’s incorrect. The best way is to get out of the neighborhood(edit: Eastern Europe, in this case), and the second-best way is to not participate in the shit that results in a neighborhood being ā€œbadā€(I.e., Don’t buy and sell dope, don’t go down to the corner and get drunk, etc.—-Don’t participate in European disputes, in this case).

And…the U.S. should be worried about Russia why again?

Uhh…Hawaii is an island…so wouldn’t that go for everything that’s not Hawaii?

I really like getting a non-American perspective on these things so I enjoy when you do.

Fighting the extreme urge to lob a ā€œyo momma so fat jokeā€ your way.

You better watch that stuff: https://t-nation.com/t/re-economic-education-get-some/279719

That was because I addressed a post to Castoli’s mom and requested that she allow Castoli to come back to the board.

Again, the bad neighborhood analogy.

You walk past a group of gangbangers and loudly proclaim ā€œHello gentlemen, I have a concealed carry gun and would be willing to use it but just a FYI I’m a very powerful high net worth individual who happens to be passing through this shithole ghetto of yours by chance and have absolutely no interest in the place as everything here is beneath me. Should you feel the need to rob or murder someone in the short time I’m passing through please do because despite my power and the gun I’m most definitely carrying and would use in an emergency I have no interest in getting myself embroiled in local folklore as I have more pressing financial matters that you couldn’t even comprehend being regular ghetto thugsā€

Do you think the gangbangers would say: ā€œwhy yes, good sir, we will take you up on your word about your apparent gun ownership and willingness to use and proceed to rob and kill people as we’ had earnestly taken your statement about the lack of interest in this place at face valueā€

I can’t make sense of some parts of your post, but I’d say you’d be best-served by not being there(1.) and by minding your own business(2.). I’m not sure what kind of dumbass would announce that he’s carrying a concealed weapon, as that defeats the purpose.

I thought you were gone doing some neighborhood watch action, due to Serbia being on the next block.

I rarely drop in due to a work schedule seemingly patterned after quick sand.
But am pleased to see you secure enough to drop in here.

Agree with the proxy benefit to cost analysis.

Is that something like this?

Negative x Negative = Positive

Learned that in elementary school, Watson.

Aren’t you supposed to be a teacher?

I’ll give you a real life example, as the straight man here.

If we subtract all of cannoli’s posts from the threads that he spams/trolls, does that add value to the threads?

…git that gif outta here…
