THe point is the “Soviet Union” and “USSR” are interchangable like “UK” and “Britain”
“Russia” and “USSR/Soviet Union” aren’t just as “England and UK/Britain” arent

So am I, but that still doesn’t do anything about a lack of primary source material.
Unless those stories were somehow passed down to you from the first millennia.
I wasn’t making that claim, Russia referred to the main body, though we used it interchangeably.
Oh you’re talking way back yonder in the olden’ days. If you want info of what soviet occupation was like, I got your back. The short version is, it sucked. It sucked so bad my parents were willing to risk gulag or death to get the fuck out of there.
Proof of the Billions in Military Aid USA gives Israel? It’s not a secret
Proof of Israel taking Palestinian land by force and slaughtering Men, Women and Kids with indifference if they don’t vacate their homes? Videos can be found anywhere on the net.
Proof of Israel setting places of worship, while they are in the middle of prayer, on fire? Again in the last year alone numerous videos have been everywhere.
Now who is forcing a narrative over facts.
But considering this thread is clearly Pro Ukraine and we are all, RIGHTLY, respecting the Ukrainians fighting for their home land… I’d presume you would understand why the people who had their land stolen from them would want the ‘invaders’ out. Let’s not act like Israel was a thing pre WW2 and that the current inhabitants did not steal that land from the Palestinian people.
That’s not funding a genocide, dude.
If you are referring to the 6 day war, it was Israel who was attacked. And yeah, they kicked their asses and took their land, tough shit. They should not have attacked Israel. You are an anti-Semite.
I mean King David established Jewish control over Jerusalem in like 1000 BCE, so we could keep debating who’s right and wrong in the situation, but the jews controlled it first - and it is their holiest site. Jerusalem is the 3rd holiest site in Islam, behind Mecca and Medina.
Continuing to debate this will do nothing but show everyone’s colors. This is the type of situation where you’re either an anti-semite, or you’re not.
It’s also important to look at the results of the control of each side. Persecution and destruction of holy sights vs. preservation and access for all religions.
I was actually referring to the cities in the last few years where people were forcibly removed from their homes
I have deliberately avoided the word “Jew” because I can differentiate between the Jewish faith and the state of Israel.
I agree 100%
And it also sidetracks the current thread
trying to differentiate between Anti-Zionism and Anti-Semitism is like trying to say “I don’t hate black people, I just hate their culture and everywhere they live”. You can clarify all you want, but this is my thoroughly examined opinion on the matter.
This plot of land was first owned by the jews, then by the christians/catholics for a bit, then the muslims, then was re-established by the jews… I don’t understand any group except the jews’ claim to this land. Even if it wasn’t first owned by the jews, I would side with them because its their #1 holiest site and it is tertiary in the muslim religion. Even if the muslims had current ownership of Jerusalem - they would still kneel and pray facing southeast towards Mecca.
There are actually Orthodox Jews who are anti-Zionist as well as secular Jews who are not fond of Israel.
Hitler-loving, Nazi Jews? Are you sure? (/s)
Yes, ones who tend to be politically socialist or marxist because most populations aren’t a monolithic block. But the underlying theme for jews who aren’t fond of Israel comes from a belief of anti-imperialism, not the formation of the state itself.
That’s usually the response. That these are “self hating” Jews, a term applied to me in my life, for another reason, as if that’s well mannered or fitting.
One time someone on here said something in response to me, something like, “There were Jewish Nazis,” as if so-called “mischling” National Socialists or Wermacht soldiers have anything to do with me or what I think.
@Andrewgen_Receptors I understand.
This post dies not exist. That’s what you interpreted into it with your emotions on full fleek.
The American white and black standards are extremely arbitrary. Basically every European is seen as “white” in America, maybe except for dark Italians or Portuguese, Spanish people because they look color wise a like Latinos. Meanwhile in Europe there’s BIG differences in living standards for all nations. Sweden and Denmark are pretty well of and super white while the Slavic nations are pretty poor and super white. But then there’s southern Slavic countries that have a slight color to them and northern Italians and a good amount of Spanish people who are white as snow. The American race classification makes no sense at all especially when we take into account that the largest part of the American populace stems from a wide variety of countries from Europe and Africa. The race-essential left’s classification is therefore completely arbitrary. Not only because it’s nearly all nonsense anyways.
German here. Germany is still pretty different from East to west. The west has way higher population and especially work. Large parts of eastern Germany are empty. Eastern Germany is also very cheap compared to the west. The western Germans paid a tax for over 30 years to rebuild the East and get it on track. It ended a year ago. The East is not in bad shape but there’s still differences.
The political divide is very real. A minority in the East consistently votes socialist left because they muss socialism. Another minority there votes nationalist (and also partly racist, depending on region and party) right and they very much care about immigration and cheap labor. The majority usually votes Middle ground in country wide elections but the populist parties make their hay there.
There’s definitely still consequences from the UDSSR,
I agree with you fully. The only problem for America I see coming now that Europe is activated and ramping up their military again is that when we become independent from America the trade will suffer making living more costly for merica. Also, armer Europeans and more heavily armed and militarized countries are more likely to go to war or partake in it. Without America’s supervision I’m not sure that is a good thing. America after all is still the freest and most freedom loving country on earth. I would rather have a fully armed Europe and great cooperation with America.
Also, when America doesn’t hold its promises, not only will the EU arm up, but third countries which don’t belong to NATO, Russia OR China will pursue the strongest (nuclear) weapons they can get to protect themselves.
You are absolutely right here again. There are so many Muslims living in Israel under their protection. They even have an anti Israel party in parliament.
Bro, you are really delusional. That aid is purely used for defense. Ever heard of the iron dome? It’s the reason Israel does not have to go in and completely warp the terrorists. Think about Canada shooting US schools, hospitals, civilians every day. What would the US do? The navy would be in there on day 1.
The disenfranchising of Palestinians was also complete fake news. It was a completely orderly and rightful process with court cases.
The word in Germany is that Russia has severe problems with squad morale. There was a report that some Russians destroyed the gasoline tanks of their tanks to not get further ahead. I don’t know if any of that’s true but it seems the Russian military personnel is not really completely informed about what to do.
If you question America, you get the horns(er…called Nazi or racist or slave owner or whatever. ) On topic: I definitely hope America can fully involve itself in European affairs again.
That reminds of people saying others are anti-capitalist and communist if they criticize someone’s favorite billionaires in any way or just state dislike for them.
“You don’t like Elon Musk? You must be a communist.”
You’ll also be reminded of segregation if you say anything complimentary about pre-1950s, as if the person stating compliments even thinks that was a good thing.
There is a very bizarre culture of emotional blackmail and moral grandstanding going on these days and the ridiculous and impossible expectation that individuals or even entire nations can care about, care for, or love all the billions of people on earth or sympathize with every group as if they are of their own.
This is impossible. And that’s why I will likely never move to another country.
I do wish most people well though.
In the middle of the night on Fox New, they were saying the U.S. had blocked Poland from giving Mig-23s to Ukraine. I can’t find any article on that. Has anyone else heard that?
I don’t think the US had anything to do with that, but this appears to be what you’re talking about
This is a funny one. It’s of a kind with the idea you can’t dislike any product of capitalism and still like capitalism. Sorry, I can dislike someone without wanting him to be killed or jailed.
