I know a lot of people who don’t like him and most don’t because he has monetary value.
It’s off topic but can someone enlighten me why you don’t like him (I don’t mean personally, I mean clear wrong doings)? I’m completely open on this topic and just need some substantiated input.
Well guys I just got back from facebook and let me tell you, things are looking good for Ukraine. Everyone is standing with them it seems. If enough people change their profile pictures to something yellow and blue Putin won’t have any choice but to call off the invasion.
The people of Maine are just getting started with expressing our support, thanks to the bold leadership of Janet Mills. Watch out, Putin!
As for myself, I’ve volunteered to accept all drop-offs of Russian Standard and Hammer + Sickle brand vodkas. I will then arrange for the destruction of the Russian vodka in support of our Governor’s initiative and, of course, the people of Ukraine.
There’s a solution to that. Oil. We have the means and capacity to be fully energy independent and be a major exporter of oil and gas. We’ve already done it, so I know it’s possible. And Europe would be much happier buying from us than Russia.
Isn’t it telling that all these “crippling sanctions” somehow managed to not include oil? The one thing Russia cares about the most is oil.
I don’t think Russia gives a shit about anything right now. I believe with some evidence that Russia and China have already divided up the world and having each other, they don’t need anyone else.
Meanwhile our ruling elites still kowtow to China, because after all China made them rich. Can’t criticize China, they might as well take Taiwan now. It would be a cake walk.
You might need a shower.
Did you get in your Lada, grab your ball and go home?
Virtue signaling is a calling, not just anyone can act like they care about something they have no clue about. I’d like to see if they could even find Ukraine on a map without google. Yellow and blue is the new black… lives matter. And for extra credit, you can put a sign out in your front yard that says ‘Stop Asian Hate’ because that really makes a difference. There is no telling how many lives have been saved by believing non-sense and acting like you know shit you don’t know.
Hey, share! I’ll split it with you. Bloody Mary’s for life. Nothing shows solidarity like pouring out liquor that has a very low probability of even being made in Russia. At least people don’t like the hammer and sickle again. It was getting very prominent during the BLM/ Antifa riots.
Can we still order moscow mules, white and black russians, and have russian dressing on our rubens or is that now forbidden? Thousand Island is okay, but Russian dressing really makes a ruben.
I don’t know about that man. Say you found a Startup, say the business goes really good and you own the business. Say the business goes to the stock market and is worth 10 billion dollars and you own 10% of that stock. You are then a billionaire and I don’t think it’s unethical to found and own a successful business.
Yes, I seriously hope that a militarily stronger EU will lead to increased partnership between us.
I think you can at least still play russian roulette
I’ve just watched a livestream lecture from a former Portuguese minister Bruno Macaes - I’ll try to post a Youtube link once it becomes available. There’s was an extremely interesting point he made - Europe and the US have stopped being a single civilizational space in the last decade. The majority of people in Europe do not get le wokisme (an actual French word now, I’m serious) and are somewhat bewildered by pronouns and native land acknowledgments, not to mention older cultural differences.
And this war in Ukraine made them realize in literally 48 hours that US politics in the medium term, regardless of who’s in the Oval office, will be driven by performative theatrics, scoring points on social media and owning the other side in a cultural war. In other words, complete focus on internal issues and navel gazing.
That’s why Ze Germas are giving 100 billion on their armed forces all of a sudden.
I am not so sure how many Americans ‘get’ it, but there is an influential number that have made it and every other leftist idea their life’s work. They are relentless, tireless, and Godless.
The Germans are getting it, don’t fool yourself. Wokism is huge in the upper middle class in Germany, but not anywhere else. Basically if you haven’t gone to university, you are likely not woke.
France on the other hand, these fuckers understood one thing long before we ever did (probably because there was no Hitler tearing their culture down): they enshrined their culture in law.
France has rules how many French songs have to be played on the radio. They have rules on bakeries to protect the French bakery from dying. They have rules on all kinds of shit to protect their culture and they are proud. Yes there are pussies in France too, but the greatest part of the populace is unashamedly French.
Edit: being traditionally French collides with all socially woke priorities. That’s funny, as the French Revolution and French history actually skews in a leftist direction, but apparently they know where to draw the line.
As an American and a Maine resident, I find that deeply offensive.
From the top of Mount Katahdin to the bottom of Biddeford, freedom rings across our land in solidarity with Ukraine. Whether we’re inside a warm ice fishing hut sipping on brandy, racing against fascism on the ski slopes, or adventuring across our vast network of snowmobile trails, the people of Maine remain arm-in-arm with Ukrainians fighting for freedom this winter.
General Melchett: Are you looking forward to the big push?
Private Baldrick: No sir, I’m absolutely terrified.
General Melchett: The healthy humor of the honest tommy. Don’t worry my boy, if you should falter, remember that Captain Darling and I are behind you.
Captain Blackadder: About thirty-five miles behind you.
If we keep it, how are we going to scare ourselves with conflict with the other side in 10 or 20 years? It’s about time for a swing back to fighting Germany; we’ve been fighting Russia for around three-quarters of a century now. I say we help Ukraine and the EU now, then act really surprised when Ukraine acts up later.
