Russian Military Buildup Outside Ukraine

And this explains why Rosgvardiya were driving in in their police vans.

You know? If I weren’t so MURICA, I would wonder how likely it is that my country has never been morally wrong. It seems unlikely that flawed humans have gathered in such a way that a congress of them in this area manages to always be right. But here we are.

Anyone remember COVID?

I don’t want to be a Debbie Downer, but it would not be enough unless the US or the entirety of western Europe intervene. Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Romania are all NATO countries which I doubt Putin would want to mess with. But then again I thought he wouldn’t dare invade Ukraine so I guess anything is possible.

Haven’t been active on here for a little while but wanted to check back in to see what people were saying on the topic. I haven’t stayed up to date on it.

Interesting to see some posters posting and liking who aren’t normally active in this section of the forums.

  1. No former UDSSR country would, I think. Rather die for freedom than going back. I remember a country that was severely underpowered against a world empire and still went to war and became the freest country and the greatest military power that the world has ever seen.
  2. I dont think there will be nuclear missiles involved even if WW3 breaks out. It’s still the same way it always was. The one who shoots first will get completely wrecked and everyone loses. Putin and Biden both won’t do that.

I think there’s a fourth option.

Europe gets involved without the US. We kick the Russians out of Ukrain and they join NATO. The US and all NATO states only gets involved if Russia directly attacks one of the NATO states.

I don’t exactly know how to maneuver the thin lines but Europe is at war right now, if we want to call it that or not. Germany is at war, most people just don’t know it yet or want to avoid at any cost to go to war. We are still in danger.

Would you be willing to join the army for this?

I discussed it yesterday with my friends and I told them I may have to if Germany joins the war. Not because it would be mandatory but because someone has to defend Europe. It would be a noble cause to die.

There has to be leadership here. Our European leaders have to prep the people for what may be coming. We are living in a dream world right now as if nothing bad could happen.

To defend Germany or NATO?

Neither, the Ukrainians.

Do you really think that will happen?

I ask because Putin literally lined up troops and tanks like a car lot in wide open spaces and broad daylight for months, and the only real response from the EU was ā€œI hope those Ukrainians are as tough as they say they are!ā€.

No I don’t think it will happen, I just said it could be another way.

The situation is now difficult because we missed out on the last 3-20 years. At the moment I don’t see a good solution.

I dont either. I mean he (Putin) has also threatened Sweden and Finland with retaliation now if they even join NATO.

So he’s essentially throwing down the gauntlet for all of Europe, knowing already that no one single country can or will challenge him.

He basically says: I will rebuild the Russian empire and you better get out my way

There have to be hard lines drawn following the possible fall of Ukrain. The possibility of all out war has to be on the table if we want to stop him.

Honestly man, if they haven’t been drawn already, they aren’t going to be.

This is all out war. There is an army of rolling steel headed straight toward you.

The time for drawing lines and treaties is long gone. Europe and the Ukraine dont need another treaty. They need airstrikes, surface to air missiles and rpg’s.

If Putin gains control of the Ukrainian gas distribution system, by this time next year half of Europe is going to be either USSR 2.0 or a bunch of popsicles.

Remember that whole East Germany/West Germany thing? I do!

He might not stop at just a piece this time.

Dont know how much you know, since i just dont have time to read all the comments every day, but here is an inside info :

Basically Russia has failed to take over Ukraine fast enough. Ukrainians are fighting 10 times better anyone anticipated.
Given their lack of training and lack of equipment, i believe that after this war, Ukrainian military will become a symbol of strenght, and replace US Navy Seals and Marines and whatnot that has always been used in movies(no offence, its just that Ukrainians are fucking kicking ass with basically sticks and stones).
Never in my life i would have guessed that Ukrainians would kick ass so much.
Anyways, houndreds of civilians are killed, lots of dead kids. Schools, hospitals are being attacked.
Putin also has started nuclear threats. And Belarus launched missiles and hit Ukraine. Also Chechnya sent their special forces to help Russia, but as far as i know, most of them were already fucked in the ass by Ukraine. So we basically know that not only Russia is the agressor, but also Belarus and Chechnya.
Good thing is that the world finally woke up and is sending equipment. I trully believe that once Ukrainians get decent shit they will fuck up Russians good.

It is sad that it took thousands of lives and Ukraine completely destroyed for someone to decide to send some weapons. If what happened today, when almost every country sent some good shit, would happen 4 days earlier, Russia could have been stopped on the boarder.

Anyways, unless Putin actually uses nukes now, he is probably losing this shit pretty fast. The amount of ass rape that Ukraine provided for russians with their shit equipment is so amazing, that once they get their hands on the good shit, i just dont see how Putin can win this.
He will, probably tho, just send his people to die anyways, as he just doesnt care.
Inside gossip is that he just wants to enter the history books as loud as possible. Some local political scientists have said that all he wants is a big pile of dead bodies to stand upon before he is sentenced by tribunal.

Why wait for Germany to join the war, then?

Now, while I may have strong opinions about Little Marco’s character but a) he’s not an idiot and b) he sits on the Intelligence Committee.

My money is on an aggressive type of cancer, discovered in the last couple of years. He was winning geopolitically and would have folded Ukraine under EU/Biden pressure in a few years time, and then suddenly a massive volte face and a hail mary to enter Russian history books as Vlad the Restorer.
