I’m doing a Spartan Beast in Oct so this my plan. I do walking lunges to pre-exhaust for the squat and theory for this is that it will allow me to work up back to the weight I would normally use. Leg day is once a week on a hill sprint day.
Day 1: 4-5 mile ( do varying tempo)
Day 2. 8 hill runs or 200 meter sprints. Up to 5min recovery between sprints
Day 3: 4-5 miles. It will be easier than you think.
Day 4: 8 smaller hill sprints or 8 100 meters. Plenty of recovery
Day 5: 4-5 miles
Day 6: 5-7 miles easy pace.
This is the template but I add a rest day whenever I need one.
