So I’m trying to work up to pr in standing mils. I get to 225, that’s 15 UNDER my pr and fail miserably…twice!!! Both times I couldn’t get my triceps to push the weight up. When I PR’d 240, I was doing weighted dips every week. Appears I have to got back to them. Not getting the same carry-over with close-grip press as I was with dips.

128+64+32+16+8+4+2+1+0=255, not 256 (sorry)…ahhhhhhhhhh!!! Binary math!!! The subnet is ??? The Broadcast domain is ??? Actually, binary math doesn’t seem as difficult as I remember. Now Hex, that’s what a calculator is for!!!
Just remember, there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand binary and those that don’t.
As a math teacher, I’m finding it difficult to refrain from correcting your math mistakes.
Nice job balancing all the stuff you have going on.
Sounds like everything is starting to move along for you. Great work on the pull PR’s.

I fixed it. And feel free to correct. I accept ALL help. My Algebra class is already down by half. Kinda humorous, or sad. I guess it’s how you look at it.

Those are some heavy presses for a HS Shoulder press machine.
I was actually told I deadlift too loud and could I not set the weights down so hard. Can you fucking believe it???!!! Have you ever had one of those moments where you just want wad someone up and toss them across the room but common sense only allows you to roll your eyes and smirk? Apparently I must have looked really pissed because after the tard left, another guy tried to like mellow me out. Rolled my eyes at him too. I actually have no idea why I felt like that 6 hrs ago and why it was still bugging me now. However, now that I ranted, I feel better.

We’ve had several people say that at my gym. I actually have to go to so much effort to not have DL’s make noise that I think its hurt my progress.
I lift in a university gym as well, have to lower deads gently so they don’t get it in their heads to prohibit deadlifting. Just take it as a source of pride you’re lifting enough to make a good clank when they are lowered!

last time that happened to me, I built a platform in my garage. only deadlifted on it once, but it made me feel better to know I have somewhere to lift if they kick me out
