Life does get in the way sometimes. Not a complaint, just an observation. 2 fridays ago wife goes to ER for her neck. After 9, yes 9, hrs of waiting, they do what they always do, 2 second look see, here’s some pills.
Here’s the rub. My wife has Chrohns Disease, kinda like IBS. They give her flexeral and Vics. Right on que she’s back in ER thurs because she’s having a chrohns flareup, probably a side effect of the vics (constipation).
Needless to say, it’s monday and she’s still there and they STILL don’t know exactly what they are gonna do for her (besides meds). I love when dr’s, she has 4 coming at differant times each day, don’t get together and discuss things. Sorry for the rant, just venting. It really sucks when all you can do is wait for others to determine the next move.
I still don’t do well with ‘feeling’ helpless. My wife is the one in the hospital and I’m the one doing the venting. Oh well, venting allows me to continue doing the things that I have to do, instead of moping about what I can’t do. Like I said in another post, Life rolls on wether I participate or not.

Your hospital experience sounds just like the NHS (National Health Service) here in the UK. We get it for free so it’s harder for us to complain about it. (we do pay indirectly via compulsory National Insurance contributions. But if you are unemployed you still get it).
I expected the treatment there in the U.S to be much better.

I’d also say that having a horse step on your foot and then hip check you hurts as well. Wife just said “don’t shout while you’re falling, you will startle the horse.”

Big difference between singles and rep work. It’s improving though. I’m working through the lull by eating myself fat…ter!!! Started my Cisco 1000 class. Lots of memorizing of TCP/IP and OSI stuff so far and a test every week. I go on Sat mornings 8-12. 78 on my first test…no study time with the wife in the hospital at the time. 89 this past Sat, only cuz I double checked my work and changed a right answer to a wrong answer. Fortunately for my GPA, we get 2 makeup tests. Guess which one I’m making up so far!!! I’m so anal!!! My other 2 classes, Comparative Religion and College Algebra have been easy so far.
