Actually, I’m doing them everyday
I picked up a singles routine reading Rock, Iron, Steel. If I’m gonna get to 225 quickly, once a week ain’t gonna get it!!![/quote]
Good stuff in that book. Took a lot of my training ideas from Steve Justa.
What type of English course was it? What specifically did you study? If it’s lit, I always enjoyed it because it’s a perfect opportunity to bullshit.
What is the recent fascination of everyone with OHP? I must have missed the memo. I know there’s a race but what was the genesis of the race?
Very nice job on the bench PR.

English Composition. I get to write papers. I wrote an essay about ‘me’ (easy), I wrote an opinion paper about free speech (sorta easy), did a presentation (still fidget when I’m in front of people) and just finished my research paper (hardest one for me). I’ll know my grade on Thurs. And it’s not ‘bullshit’, it’s ‘expound’!!!
The OHP started when Skip casually mentioned a race to 300 with Bulldog, and since I have a big mouth, I said why don’t we start an official ‘Race to 300 Thread’. So now its LS, Bulldog, and Hel, I believe that are racing to 300…a bunch of us are racing to 225…for starters. Sometimes the kid in us just pops out, ya know.

I understand the need to race and compete. I do something like that with my guy pretty much every time we train. I also had to try the push up contest in the conditioning forum.
Okay, you say ‘expound’ I say ‘bullshit’. My degree is in political science and history and I got to be very good at expounding
It’s great that you are doing something that pushes you a bit. I bet you’re finding out you’re good at things you had no idea about.
havent checked in on you for awhile, looks like all is going well. cant go wrong with the cisco certs. learn to program routers in BGP and you will be one of 4 people in the world that gets it.
we need a new thread called the Meathead Geek Club
OHP at 225 is still a great number. I do not see many guys at my gym do this.

Amen! Never used it, myself. They have appliances that’ll do it for you
Out of 10 Cisco cert tests, the only question I ever skipped (no pun intended) was a simulation on BGP.
If they bother to teach it to you AND you get it, maybe you can explain it to me
Good looking lifting there RL.

I know that all too well
Good lifting btw!
Got called back to work for a few weeks. It’s been playing havoc on my schedule so I decided to just go with the flow so to speak. Side note…I got an ‘A’ in my English Comp class. New classes start Aug23.

I am giving serious consideration to laying off lifts that fuck with my back. I just can’t get right. One min its good, next it’s not. I getting too old to cripple myself. I’m thinking lots of stuff I don’t do right now. Mobility, stretching, shit where I don’t support the weight with my back so much right now. I hope I don’t sound like a bitch.

Congratulations on the “A”!
I am the same way about my back. I have pretty much given up on weighted leg work. I am using that day to do body weight leg/back work and core work. Once I lose this damned gut, and strengthen my core, I may give it one more go. If it doesn’t pan out, though, oh well. Better to have weaker legs and still be able to play with my kids.

Started working on my back. It frikkin hurts!!! Sniff Sniff. Someone get me a tissue.
Is it your entire back or just the lower part. I can really feel my MP’s in my lower back. I am going to add some lower back accesssory for it.

It’s the lower. The whole problem seems to stem from an issue with my patella? tendon. The one on the front of the thigh. I popped it last year and it isn’t getting better…just shorter. At least it feels that way. It’s pulling everything out of whack and being a moron, I just decided recently to stop screwing it up anymore and start trying to fix it. I’m thinking of getting it look at this fall.
Deload continues…as in doing nothing but my standing mils and ab and mobility work every day. New cycle to start on Sat.
