Well, I hit a Texas League Single on my first quiz in class. 14 outta 20. Too much time studying notes, not enough reading the chapter. Oh well. Outta 6 quizzes, one’s a drop so I’ll take it this time. Still shooting for an A so…

Nice work. I love the warmups  Does mowing the lawn get your back?It always makes mine tight. Of course, I am a tad tall for my mower.

Don’t sweat the 70. Unless you are competing for an uber elite job, no one looks at your GPA. That is not to say that you shouldn’t aim for an A, but make sure to learn as much as you can that is applicable. A lot of tests will quiz you on how “they” want it done and a few obscure things that you will never use or see again.
I guess what I am suggesting is to learn what you need to get the grade, but don’t limit yourself to that. There is a lot of good stuff that they will not test on. Better to know how to do the job than just make A’s.

Did a lesurely stroll around my back yard today with 95# on my back. Did it 5 times. we’ll see how I feel tomorrow. Threw in some hammercurls for good measure.

Well, let’s see. I did the above mentioned things, then yesterday, helped my brother finish moving all the heavy shit to his new house so I didn;'t lift yesterday. Was wiped out though!!!

I can actually pay attention alot better than I could as a kid. Of course, having a recorder helps with lectures!!! My summer classes are just core stuff for my degree. I start my computer stuff in the fall. If I’m still not working by then, I’m going all out this fall and winter. Lookin to squeeze in 16hrs in fall and 16hrs in winter. We’ll see what happens. Right now I’m doing a marathon History class…A 16 week class in 4 weeks. I have a quiz tonite and an exam tommorrow nite. I think I have the studying down this time. After this class, I’m getting my English Comp class out of the way. Figured I use the summer to work my way back into school mode. It’s been a while, ya know. The hardest part, for me, is trying to just be a student, and not act like a father and smack some of the kids in class.

Lol…yeah. That would be the hard part. I have many issues with today’s youth. Of course, our parents had issues with us. At current pace, though, I give us a couple more generations before we wipe ourselves out, or become to apathetic/needy to survive.

You’re gonna do great. Keep us posted on the progress.

Lots o lats and rows. Couple sets of plate raises with 45# and a couple sets of hammer curls. I’m starting to think low reps for lat work. Anything else seems to hurt my bicep tendons. Can’t figure out why!!!

I’m back in school too and let me tell you its hard to remember I’m 42 and I’m not supposed to flirt with co-eds.

Great training school boy. I’m not sure I could ever get back into the school mode. I would ask my wife to write my papers.

I actually have daughters that age so it’s really kinda easy not to flirt. Lots of practice. Besides, I’m invisible to that age group anyways, married or not, which I am.

Dammit, Joe, it is okay to flirt! At least I have to tell myself that.

RL, I can see how that might be an issue. Is the practice you are referring to from their friends coming over?

Great work Rug… If I went back to school at 49 I would be too damn old to flirt… All I would do is drool…

As a matter of fact, yes. Oh, I got a ‘B’ on last nites quiz. Exam tonite. Didn’t know we could make up a mini cheatsheet for the exam. Must be something new, at least to me.

Hell they let my kid use a calculator in math… I would placed in advanced math, rather than 10th grade math during college if things had been like that 30 years ago…

Oh wait… we DIDNT have calculators then… Good luck on the test

Lol…they did too have calculators. They were just big as a typewriter and you had to plug them in.

Cheat sheet? Really? What is this world coming to. No wonder today’s kids can’t do basic math. But hell, if they say it is good, do it! It’s not like you can’t look things up when you’re on the job. I do it all the time.
