Rumblin', Stumblin', Bumblin' to 50

Welcome back, you’ll be back to hitting PR’s in no time.

Thanks for the welcome back. I’m working through some personal issues at the moment so my future training may be spotty at best. Hope to get in the gym tomorrow. Thanks for the support.

I know all about those kinds of issues. Take care, Wilson! Hit the gym as often as you can - it helps.

Hope the weather we just had doesn’t get up your way. Good luck on the personal stuff. Work out to relieve the stress, vent if you need to. We’ve all had the need.

Dateline: Saturday 5:30 am Bench day

Squat warm up 115x20
Bench Press: Barx20, 135x10, 185x8, 205x6, 225x4
Dips: BWx8, BWx4, BWx4
Incline db press: 2x50x12
Flat fly: 2x35x12
Rev grip incline press: 3x95x8
OH triceps ext. 3x110x12

I’m still weak as hell and relatively unmotivated. I ground through the training. Nothing really remarkable to report. Off to work and then home to do some things around the house.

Dateline Sunday 6:14 am Bastardly back day
Squat warm up 115x16

Tweaked my back during the warm up. I felt it was best to stop and not over work my back. I feel like I wussed out. After a hot shower its feeling a little better.

JW:s Sunday thought: Ambivalent? Well, yes and no.

I have been missing JW’s thoughts for the day. You will get back in the groove, it just takes a few sessions.

Good job staying with it, Wilson. The strength will come.
Reverse grip incline presses? The thought of those hurts my forearms and shoulders. Ouch!
Take care of the back…live to lift another day.

Dateline Tuesday, 4:22 am Bastardly high rep bench day
Squat warm up: 115x20
Decline bench press: 3x135x18
Incline DB press bench at 30 degrees: 2x50x15, bench at 45 degrees 50x12
Cable Xover: 3x50x18
Triceps extensions: 2x120x20

It was hard getting up this morning, I haven’t been sleeping well of late. I ended up with a good pump, still I didn’t push anything really heavy around. I guess half the battle is just getting in the gym and remaining active.

I wish I had something witty to write about. Things just seem a bit gray at the moment. The business is holding its own. My personal life is rocky. The daughter is having a fit with her allergies, like I have never seen, and the biggest part of the pollen season is over here. I can tell everyone this, I’m going to force myself to the gym, cause I ain’t going back on anti-depressants! Anyway, I do hope I’ll get pushing some weight around soon.

JW’s morning thought: My biggest problem with the younger generation is I’m not in it.

I’ll be down with my surfcasters. We’ll sit on the beach drink beer, smoke cigars and catch fish. But I sleep late. You know 6 am.

I can deal with 6am, Steve.

Yep. Getting there is the biggest part. Then you feel obligated.
Hope things smooth out soon. Just keep doing what you do. Routine can be a good thing when other aspects of life go nuts.

Dateline Thursday, 4:32am Bastardly bad back day

Squat warm up: 115x20
Kroc rows: 3x80x20
Cable high rows: 3x150x10
Lat pull downs: 3x150x8

Still trying to shake the cobwebs. I wandered rather aimlessly through the gym this morning. Worked up a slight sweat and went home to get ready for work. I still don’t know the direction I need to head to get back high in the saddle, or if I even will.

On a lighter note the Chinese national I work with on my Asian sales had his 2nd and 3rd children. Yep he had identical twin girls, one weighed 6 lbs and the other 5 3/4 lbs. He is a proud papa, even if he can’t tell the girls apart! Little does he know what is in store for him. I can’t wait till they are 12.

JW’s morning thought: I believe we should all pay our taxes with a smile. I tried - but they wanted cash.

JW- hang in there brother, brighter days will come…Keep banging on the iron!!

Oh, you’ll be back high in the saddle. It is in your blood and your psyche. Other things just seem to leap to the forefront, from time to time. It happens. And should, at times.
In any case, the iron will wait for you and so will we.

We need an T-Nation old folks get together…somewhere…sometime.

Just going is enough for now. I was the master of unfocused workouts for the last year and half. Just keep going regular and enjoying the gym. Your intensity will pick up once you figure out where you want to take this bro. I just got hooked up with a great training partner and I’m focused on going after that 500 BP again.

If you go there it will come…

Like the rest said, Wilson. Just keep on, keepin’ on…

This to shall pass

Ok, I’ll 4th or 5th it. Sometimes we’re just gonna have shit days. That’s why they say shit happens. Nobody has great work outs all the time. What direction? What do you want to do? Answer that and you’ll know the answer to your question. Can you hear the weights at your feet, grasshooper? (Ok, it was the chinese reference made me go all kung fu there.)

JW, I think a complex or two would set your mind straight.

Dateline Sunday 6:20 am Wandering aimlessly upper body workout

Squat warm up 20x115
Bench press: barx20, 135x10, 185x8, 5x225x3
Incline DB press, 2x55x15
Dips: 2xBWx8
Kroc Rows: 3x90x12
Hammer low rows: 3x45x15

Still searching for a direction with my training. I was up late Saturday so I passed on training. I combined some bench work and back work today to make it up. I guess I did something I’m starting to get a bit sore! WOO HOO!!

Just for laugh, I’m posting the daughters dog running geese. He is smaller than the goslings! Still Elvis is giving them Hell! I wish I had a better zoom on the camera, but if you squint and imagine you can see the Rat Terrier working.

JW’s Sunday thought: Regular naps prevent old age, especially if you take them while driving

I’m with ECO a good few complexes put everything into focus. If you want something new and different try the EDT program I am doing. Lots of fun, you get in and get out.
