Thanks guys, I’m glad y’all thought about me and even fretted a bit. I’m back anc still as irrelevent as hell.

First day back in a while!I really felt weak and had to push through the sets a lot of times. I did leave part of a lung at the gym. All and all I am feeling better, but I can see the layoff has left me very weak. I guess its like starting over again. WOO-HOO!
I was going to start back Saturday. I had to help with a community event and ended up sleeping in Saturday morning. That’s why I combined My chest and back days. I bit off a bit more than i could chew. the DOMS is hitting me today!
JW’s Face Book Status from a few days ago, stolen from a friend: I do not like it Uncle Sam, I do not like it Sam I am. I do not like these dirty crooks, Neither how they cook the books. I do not like when Congress steals, I do not like their secret deals. I do not like the speaker Nan, I do not like this ‘YES WE CAN’. I do not like this kind of hope, I do not like it, nope, nope, nope!..
Wilson! Glad to see you back at it!
For a one lung workout, that is a lot of volume. And it won’t take long for the strength to come back. It isn’t like you’ve been slacking for the past decade.
“He’s back in the saddle, again”.
Here’s one in honor of your return.
What’s the difference between a northern fairytale and a southern fairytale?
A northern fairytale begins “Once upon a time…”
A southern fairytale begins "“Y’all ain’t gonna believe this shit…”
It didn’t kill you. That’s one good thing. Coming back after being (while still being) sick is frustrating. The ability to do any work at all at this point is good.
After a month off I am really set back. 205 was unbelievably heavy! I’m so fucking weak and I haven’t a clue where to start to build my strength back. I only coughed up a quarter of a lung this morning so that is a good thing! The funny thing is the DOMS really didn’t last that long. I must not be pushing hard enough.
Have 2 pain in the ass employees out. One is a diabetic with stage 5 kidney disease and he wont take dialysis. The other is a long timer that has been a thorn in my side for 2 decades with brain cancer. I hate it for both of these guys. Sometimes your heart goes out for the pains in the asses.
JW’s morning admission: Even though I am deaf and need one, I never wear a hearing aid. If I do, people will expect me to listen to them.
Glad to hear that you still have 3/4 of a lung to work with. You might want to hang on to that.
The strength will come back. And rather quickly I am willing to bet. I would just go with what worked for you before…and push it a little. Just not enough that the last 3/4 comes out.
Sux about the employees. The 1st one needs to quit being hardheaded. Is the brain cancer operable?

Thanks Skip. From what I was told they can remove part of the tumor but not all of it. He goes under the knife tomorrow then chemo. [/quote]
Chemo sucks. I have a co-worker who just went through it. He seems to have weathered fairly well, but is still lethargic, dragging and generally doesn’t feel great. Hopefully they can nip it for good. And hopefully he is healthy enough to get through it.
Its a marathon not a sprint. Set backs will happen. You’ll be back to the old weights and higher in no time. I think MJ needs to get to a 5/3/1 rehab clinic. Its his cocaine.
