Outstanding job on 315. I hope to get there this year. I really need to catch my ass up.

Is that cool or what?
Nice job JW.
Thanks for the kind words UN42 and OP.
Dateline: Tuesday, 4:12 am Bastardly high rep bench training
Squat warm up: 120x20
Decline bench press: barx20, 2x135x20, 135x17
Incline db press: 55x15, 55x13, 55x11
Cable x-over: 45x20, 2x45x16
OH triceps ext. 2x100x20, 100x13
Finished in 40 minutes. I blew through the workout, with very little rest between sets. I decided to do some decline benching for shits and grins. Mounting the sumbitch his “fun”. I was disappointed with my incline work, for some reason the db’s were a lot heavier than last time. Should have run on the treadmill for a while rather than going home and taking an early morning pre-shower nap.
I hope spring is here soon. This purgatory weather we keep having really drains me. I’m ready for some sun and humidity! Plus I’m tired of the young’un being sick. She is hope again with a stomach bug! Winter, Winter, GO AWAY!!

You trying to wind me up, chief? I got stories…
Great pressing. 315 is one of those bench marks that is so cool to get to. I’m all for nice weather to get here as well. Some sun my face while BBQ a steak out on the deck would feel so nice.
Looks like a fun workout, JW.
Do they have a surveillance video? We need to catch and put a stop to the sumbitch who added weight to the dumbbells. This game is hard enough without having to deal with vandals.
Just saw the 315 video -congrats on the 3rd wheel (heh), excellent work gutting it out. …I can only dream…
I think Barbell Dude went to Little Dumbbell Boy and demanded retribution on you, hence the payback.
Dammit! I’m late to the party. Congrats on the 315#! That is a big milestone. 'Course, we knew you had it in you. It just needed to be coaxed out. Great work!
Steve, you confused me there for a sec. I couldn’t figure out why you were turning steak into BBQ. Then I remembered…BBQ is a verb up Nawth, but a noun down har. Wait…do you call a grill a “barbecue”? Might be a noun up there as well, just not the same one.
Excuse me stewardess, I speak jive . . .
In certain northern climbs, BBQing steaks = what Texans and Oakies would call grilling. That threw me for a bit of a loop when I moved down to Texas and invited everyone over to “BBQ” and got a lot of puzzled looks when I just threw a bunch of steaks on the grill.
Thanks for all the recognition on my 315 milestone. That really means a lot to me. Skip, you anr Jack are right, BBQ is a noun in the South. In eastern NC we prefer whole hog BBQ cooked over Oak and Hickory with a vinegar and pepper sauce… Damn… Now I’m hungry!
Pguy you are right, I was a whiney hiney with the DB’s yesterday.
Dateline Wednesday: 4:13 am attempted Bastardly heavy back day
Squat warm up: 120x20
Kroc rows: 4x120x6
Lat pull down 4x165x6 super set with face pulls 4x120x6
Shrug in the standing calf doohickey: 4x360x10
Treadmill interval: 10 minutes
Once again another blast through training morning. Krocs were tough on my tender baby hands. The gym only has 125# db’s so I’ll have to get creative sooner or later. Until then I’m on the 120’s I worked my interval a bit differently with longer run times. That really took my wind. I’m going to have to build my stamina up on them. All and all an average training day.
JW’s morning thought: I think my wife has had sixty-one boyfriends before me. She keeps calling me her sixty second lover.
JW- 315? 315? Holy Crap…it seems like about 3 or 4months ago that number was 270 or so…AWESOME job!! 3 wheels makes me very jealous!
I’m so late but congrats on the 315. And, you didn’t just do it on the first one but came back to do it on the second. That shows determination, character, intestinal fortitude, perseverance, grit, ah hell, shows you just needed to get mad. You’re getting that old strength back. Now it’s time to past that “25 year ago” point and push on to new PRs. As for bar-b-Q vs grilling, having lived all over I find it safer to say you’re having a “cook out” when dealin with foreigners (those above the Mason/Dixon line).
Thanks OG, I’m trying to push forward. Harry, you are right, 315 is now. I had hoped I would be as strong at 50 than I was at 22. I think I’m a wee bit ahead of schedule. Now I can shoot for 350 at 50.
Dateline: Thursday, 4:19 am Bastardly weak squat day.
Squats: 120x20,
Box squat:135x5, 185x5, 3x225x5, 2x245x5
Anderson’s from the bottom: 250x3, 275x3
Treadmill interval 12 minutes
I likes me some Anderson’s. Gong to keep working on them. Treadmill interval killed me. What is new. I’m going to get back on the cardio bandwagon and try to work on some weight issues.
We have a new family that is in residence at JW’s house. It seems Molly Mallard has decided to nest in my rosemary bush. She has about 16 eggs she is roosting on. My youngun’s toy fox terrier is all about running her off her nest, so now we have to watch the damn little dog… Oh me… and ole Morris Mallard is floating in the creek waiting for Molly and his youngun’s.
JW’s morning thought: Take your troubles like a man. Blame them on your wife.
The thought of the Andersons make me want to puke. Good work.
Squats are looking better and better. How are they feeling?

Heavy. I have never been strong with my squats.
Mine have gotten better, but I have to agree. Squats have always been a pain in my ass…literally and figuratively.
Nice work on the 3 wheels. A note about board presses. I do them alone and found wearing 2 shirts and putting the boards underneath works rather well, at least for me.
I have got me some boards, I’m going to try that, Ruglayer.
Dateline Friday 4:11 am Cardio day…
Treadmill interval: 20 minutes
I drug myself out of bed to run intervals on a treadmill. How sane is that?
I have to meet with the officials at the daughter’s school. Seems she is falling through some cracks. They want to put her in a gifted program for reading and writing, but yet they have placed her in a remediation class for kids that need to get their reading skills up. Go figure!
JW’s morning thought: Constipated people don’t give a crap
