Yes more or less for a change. I read and article here about breaking through plateaus and I thought i might fold it in my training.

Basicly for Shits and Giggles. I really don’t have a good plan.

Lifting hard with a bad plan is better then lifting like a pussy with a good plan

Damn! Then I’m just screwed! lol

Looking good, Wilson. Higher reps are refreshing, at times. I know they helped my squats.

Dateline Wensday, 4:17 am Bastardly back day

Squat warm up: 115x20
Kroc rows: 115x13, 115x10, 115x11
Lat pull downs: 3x150x8
Face pulls: 3x110x10
Reverse fly: 2x60x8, 60x6
Hise shrug: 3x315x8

I’m going to try to go a little heavier next Wed. and rep out on Sundays. There was quite a crowd in the gym this morning so I did Hise shrugs instead of shrugs in the ground base.

What a day for crazy weather in eastern NC. We had about 2 inches of rain last night. As I left for the gym it was raining. When I left the gym an 80 minutes later, it was snow brothing. By the time I got home the ground was covered and the roads were slushy. The flakes were so big they made me dizzy as I was driving home. The daughter has a snow day. The wife has a Valium day.

JW’s morning thought: Life is like a wet towel, you can never dry off. If you let someone get a hold of it, let the whippings commence

Good lifting here JW, I got say thsoe high reps would leave me running for the trash can.

Nice work. Krocs continue to go and the rev. flyes look like a killer. I don’t think I could move 60s.

Keep this up and you’re gonna get all huge. High reps + big weights = huge.

You’re having some great damn workouts. Good on ya.

Dateline Friday, 4:19 am, Bastardly puny squat day

Squat warm up: 115x20
Box Squat: 135x5, 185x5, 2x205x5, 4x225x5
Jump squat: 2x40x6, 40x4

Tweaked something mid back while doing jump squats. Stopped and packed my shit and went home to a shower and a cup of coffee. I should be all right by tomorrow.

We celebrated my daughter’s 12th birthday with an Itunes card, a new bike, and a volleyball set, steaks and cake. NOW we have a sleep-over planned and another cake. By Sunday night I may be close to shooting myself. Especially after my daughter proclaimed, " I just love biker dudes! They have those tats, and they wear really cool shoes with buckles and studs and stuff and the circlie spinney things on their heels oh wait that’s cowboys… They are cool too." I am in deep shit with her.

JW’s morning thought: I went to a restaurant that serves “breakfast at any time.” So I ordered French Toast during the Renaissance.

RUN!! Sometimes I wonder about little womenfolk. My daughter is into vampires. I have tried to explain to her that Edward Cullen is not your typical vampire. Ole Vlad would have had Edward impaled. And that the only sparkling in sunshine that vampires do is on their way to ashes.

Hope the back recovers quickly. Wise choice to call it a day. And props for getting into the spirit of Renaissance.

Mine is all about that pasty ass looking Edward Cullen too… Along with the Jesse James biker type.

Dateline Saturday, 5:15 am Bastardly bench training
Press time: Way later than I wanted.

Squat warm up: 20x115
Bench press: barx20, 135x10, 170x8, 210x6, 250x5, 280x3, 300xmiss
Dips: 2xBWx10
Incline DB press: 2x55x15
JM in the Smith: 3x205x8

Out of the box, I didn’t have my stuff. Everything I did felt heavy. It was a hard training session. The only positive was my shoulders never hurt in the least. I was pleased with the dips, even if I did them early in the workout. I was being silly switching between my chest and triceps. I may do more to break my routine. It was kind of fun actually.

We just got back from the nephew’s 16th birthday pig picking. We had whole hog BBQ and the various pig picking accompaniments. Now its prepping for the daughter’s sleepover and birthday party tomorrow. 9 girls are coming for the party. Thank goodness only 1 showed for the sleep-over.

JW’s morning thought in the evening: To all you virgins: Thanks for nothing.

pig pickin’ sounds fun!

I feel for you on the all-girl birthday party - just wait until the teens…

George, I am dreading it already. The girl drama at 12 is killing me!

Dateline: Sunday 5:45 am Bastardly high rep back day

Kroc Row: 2x90x20, 90x18
Lat pull downs: 3x105x15
Face pulls: 3x70x20
Reverse fly: 3x35x15
Shrug: 3x270x15

A PR day! HAHA Which is easy to have when you have never done this type of stuff. I got a good pump and burn. Almost was sick doing the Krocs. It all felt good, although i get bored easy doing reps. I wonder of Mr DOMS will come to visit? I had a passing fancy to redeem my crappy bench workout today, but i fought that off:

JW’s concept for the day:

HER DIARY:

Tonight, I thought my husband was acting weird. We had made plans to meet at a bar to have a drink. I was shopping with my friends all day long, so I thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late, but he made no comment on it. Conversation wasn’t flowing, so I suggested that we go somewhere quiet so we could talk… He agreed, but he didn’t say much. I asked him what was wrong; he said, ‘Nothing.’ I asked him if it was my fault that he was upset… He said he wasn’t upset, that it had nothing to do with me, and not to worry about it.

On the way home, I told him that I loved him. He smiled slightly, and kept driving. I can’t explain his behavior I don’t know why he didn’t say, ‘I love you, too.’ When we got home, I felt as if I had lost him completely, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore. He just sat there quietly, and watched TV. He continued to seem distant and absent.

Finally, with silence all around us, I decided to go to bed. About 15 minutes later, he came to bed. To my surprise, he responded to my caress, and we made love. But I still felt that he was distracted, and his thoughts were somewhere else. He fell asleep - I cried. I don’t know what to do. I’m almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else. My life is a disaster.

HIS DIARY:

The Harley wouldn’t start today, I can’t figure it out, but at least I got laid.

Lotta reps there. I bet you had a good pump and burn. Sometimes the reps just feel good…as long as they are on squats or deads. And yet, you seem to be enjoying the 20 rep squat warmup.

Good work!

So where did you find her diary at? Women just think too much for thier own good. (Said the single man)

2 wanna-be’s. My idea of a vampire too is ole Vlad too. I guess that wouldn’t be ‘chick-friendly’ though. Interesting what little girls idolize these days. I have 4…been there, done that, 3 down, one to go. I believe I’ve done a good job…only time will really tell.

One of my guys said it takes a man to father a son and a helluva man to father a daughter. Rug, you are a helluva man 4 times over!! I’d die if i had 4!

Wish I had some input on the daughter raising but I have two boys. Good luck you guys.

I’ve done jump squats a couple times and injured myself every time. I’ve given those up. Do you find with the higher rep stuff you start to daydream around rep 11?? During high rep squats the other day I found my mind wandering in the later part of each set.

That would be delirium, from oxygen dep.
