Thanks for the well wishes guys. Our banker meeting went so-so. Unfortunately the Ag bank can’t handle the international transfers. Plus none of the banks they partner with want to do sawmills. Anyway, they are willing to take some term debt, so we may can resturcture some debt.
Harry, I like the jump squats. I think I may start doing them with the barbell. I guess these are technically are goblet jump squats.

EVERYTHING felt heavy today. I just quit early. the daughter had 2 girls over for a sleepover, so that made for light sleeping until about 1am. The girls had fun, I slept like crap, it showed in my training. I’m thinking I may change some of this bench training around. I’ll continue to bench heavy like I attempted today on Saturdays. Tuesdays I’m going to do some high rep work and a few different exercises to switch things around.
Shooting for more sleep tonight and a gloriously bastardly back day tomorrow! Off to the beach and salvage some kitchen cabinets. I’m going to straighten up the garage!

If you figger 250 as 80% of max, that gives you a max of 312.5. 250 is actually less than 80% for you because you could do three sets of it. So you’ve actually improved - this was NOT a poor bench day.

12 reps with the Krocs. I’m a PR whore today. Everything else was OK. Reverse flys were a little painful, the energy level was failing by then. Finished with shrugs in the squat lunge ground base. Hope I can say I feel them later.
Off to the roof to put a new chimney cap on and then back to the beach to load up on more cabinets. I’m just about tired of the talking heads on the morning political shows. Thankfully the daughter wants to watch reruns of the Cosby show! Theo was trying to get lucky…
JW’s morning thought: After watching the Sunday morning political shows I realize that today’s public figures can not longer write their own speeches or books, and there is a damn lot of evidence that they can’t read them either.
Borrowed a page out of Tim Henriques shattering bench plateaus program. I wanted to do something a little different on my Tuesday bench training. So I think I’m going to do this for a while on Tuesdays. I will continue my normal progression on Saturday. I over estimated my weights, I was shooting for 20 reps each set. Still, I left the gym with a huge pump.
Meetings with the banks are not going all that well. Seems the Ag bank has 2 members that don’t want to make loans in the forest products industry. Their concerns are well founded. The fancy dancy consultant that our bank hired felt we didn’t know our costs. So he said we were going to fail. This from a cat that has never set foot in a sawmill, and only met with us for 5 hours and looked at numbers. Now our bank doesn’t want to work with us and has given us terms that guarantee failure with them. They want their money. So 50 years of a relationship, with a company that HAS NEVER MISSED a payment is out the door. I want to sit here and write FUCK WAC%$VA, but I’m sure the mods will pull the post. Fuck them…

I know I said I would quit this whining. The damnedest thing happened yesterday. The bank hired a consultant to analyze our business. He spent 3 hours in our office, about 8 looking at financials, and never looked at our process, our product mix, or our customer base. He never understood our niche markets or how we ran our business to de-comoditize ourselves from the big corporations. He told the bank we were not a well run company and didn’t know our costs. By his recommendation bank has decided to weight their terms of our relationship in such a way we are doomed to fail… Well yesterday afternoon the consultant called us and touted his turn around expertise and wanted us to hire him to help lead our company back to the promised land… That’s a helluva business model…Screw your client behind the scenes, then angle your way to be his savior…
