I know this season doesnt have anything to do with Rulon but I didnt want to start a whole new thread…
Does anyone still watch this show? I have it on DVR and watch the episodes so that I can fast forward through them… some pretty great transformations on this show.
Aaaaaaanyway… when the contestants first went into the gym it was all new equipment and when I was looking at it I was thinking “hey! Waaaaaaaaaaait a minute here…” and then they said “The whole new gym is brought to you by our new sponsors… PLANET FITNESS”
Then during the next commercial break they show that PF commercial thats been posted on this site a million times where the stereotypical “bodybuilder” is in the gym and the guy kicks him out the back door" I couldnt believe it. I think I’ll stop watching this show now.
Anyone else see that crap?[/quote]
No, but it sounds like crap.
Greg, you bump this thread and you don’t even fill us in on what happened with Rulon on the show? Tsk tsk.

Hahahaha he was doing really good and got really far but then he quit the show and wasn’t on the finale for some reason.
He said he was just ready to be home with his family but the rumor was he was sneaking off of the ranch or something? And he had a secret cell phone? I don’t really know but he wasn’t on the finale.

I saw it, and I’m done with the show now. Planet Fitness can get fucked.
My wife’s family is from Northern Utah, which is where Rulon Gardner lives and operates a weight training/mma facility. Rumor up there was that Rulon got accused of sexual harassment with a few of the female “behind the scene” staff members, and was asked to leave the show.
In order to save face for both Rulon and the show, they set it up as him being home sick, and saying he had accomplished his goals and was ready to leave etc. My inlaws see him around town occasionally and say he looks like he is back up to his original overweight body he had when he started the show.
I think UtahLama said he owns a gym in the same city, so he might be able to shed a little more light on the situation. I feel bad for the guy though. He is a former gold medalist, best in the world athlete, and has completely lost control of his life.
Wow, they used to have prowlers on this show…now they have PF? Sad.

I watched it on Tivo last night. They still have the prowler. It’s funny because 99% of what they are doing wouldn’t be allowed in a PF. Yelling, puking, throwing weights down, pushing the prowler, fat dudes passing out> all potential Lunk Alarms.

Haha, I actually asked my wife “Where’s the lunk alarm in that place then?”
It was pretty funny when the guy could remember Bob’s name and said they were in Michigan. The first week workouts are hilarious.
Kill em all!
