Ruined My Raw Egg Experience!

I never said that raw eggs couldnt be digested. Just that consuming too many could cause a biotin deficiency. The avidin in egg whites will throw things out of whack. It takes A LOT of eggs at once over and over for this to become a problem. Wikipedia says that 20 raw eggs at a time consumed regularly MAY lead to problems. Most people have nothing to worry about.

I usually did 6 whites 2 whole for breakfast, and then 6 whites 2 wholes for last meal. In your opinion, would that be too much?

Why risk it Conf? Just eat 6 damn whole eggs.

Whole eggs don’t make people fuckin fat, shit I’m sick of people thinking that. People eating cake and ice cream and fried chicken all the time WILL make them fat. Fuck.

OP, I bet a lot of the other foods we eat every day taste like other gross things, if you look hard enough. Like someone else said, at the end of the day, it’s fuel for your body. What’s more important to you, meeting goals, or being grossed out by a random similarity?

Wikipedia says 20. 6.5 =/= 20

I believe that biotin deficiency thing is unlikely to happen unless you eat your every f…ing meal with raw eggs. Avidin will bind with the biotin and prevent it from being absorbed only in the meal you’re currently eating. So maybe you won’t absorb the biotin from your breakfast but you will absorb it from the other meals of the day. I mean if you eat your raw eggs in the morning and the other meals of the day are free of raw eggs you’ll be fine.

It isn’t the rawness that’s the problem, it’s eating only egg whites without the yolks that causes issues.

Yea, this is what I was thinking.

Actually I heard raw egg whites contain enough avidin to bind all the biotin available in the yolks. Not sure whether it’s a fact or not.

Trust me, I don’t think whole eggs make people fat. I do it based off my macronutrients percentages. No other reason really, but I’m sure I could cut fat somewhere else in the day. I really try to follow the 50p/30c/20f outline. I’ve had great success with it.

not sure how valid that link is, but hey.

or cook them so they actually benefit u???
