i have a feeling he’ll be on the plane…would love to see murray/boss/reddan and o’leary left out…really hasnt been the same since his lions ending ankle injury imo
scotland/ireland will be a standard boring boshfest…whatever you say about scotland, they’re always extremely physical…i wonder if they have all bulked up again like before the last wc…
Oz/Nz should be well worth dragging your arse out of bed on your day off for…
Oh god here we go haha.
Not meaning to turn this into a standard munster/leinster affair but even with tthhe shitty performances O’Leary has been putting in over the last 12 months you still couldnt pick Boss over him. Boss has never even hit international level IMO(although ill always remember his break away try against England in Croker in 2007 with great fondness). Undoubtedly the season with Leinster has done him the world of good but he simply isnt good enough. I think he proved this at the start of the previous season when Jo Schmidt inexplicably picked Boss over Reddan and Boss continued to disappoint. Not that im overly fond of Reddan either. Although a good friend from college stuck around after the munster/leinster clash back in april and got a chance to talk to Reddan for a bit, said he was one of the nicest guys he’s ever talked to!
Nah I wont be dragging myself out of bed for it, beauty of Sky+ haha
Well I’m a Munster Fan, but O’leary is one of the players I find most frustrating. He slows the game down to a snails pace with his dithering at the base of rucks. I can understand that he likes some time to set up etc. but it just lets the opposition organise their defence that bit more and then Ireland revert to crashing it up.
For all his faults I’d prefer to see Boss in there ahead of him. However in the longer term Murray is the answer both at club and international level.

Mate, don’t even give him air. There’s been some great rugby talk in this thread, don’t let this inbred derail it.

I think there are a few in there which wouldnt be in a starting XV world cup team.
But I really rate Matt Stevens, he was going places before he made silly lifestyle choices. I dont know scrums at all, but he is more mobile and his engine is better than cole IMO. It’ll be good to see how manusomoa tuilagi gets on.

I’m looking forward to seeing Charlie Sharples get a run out too.
According to Foden he’s the fastest white guy he’s ever seen.
Really looking forward to NZ v AUS too. I don’t have skysports anymore so I watch it on p2p. Anyone know what time it starts in the UK? I managed to miss the beginning of the SA / AUS game last week. Damn British summertime bollocks!
Score predictions for the weekend any one?
I’ll go 33 - 28 to NZ. Factored in a couple of Dan Carter missed conversions. I don’t think there’ll be too many penalties in this game.

Ive always liked sharples. I know its very english of me, but i always rate a player on his ability to defend, and his defensive skills are brilliant. The way he tackles is technically perfect (watch him come on a miss a try saving tackle now ive said that).

Proper english name, that.
Manu is a powerhouse center for a 20 yr old, Flutey is class as well.
I totally rate Stevens, he packs down very well…but they have seven props at the moment? his form has been good though since he ditched the charlie, hasn’t it?

20 - Kevin McLaughlin (St. Mary’s College/Leinster)
21 - Isaac Boss (Terenure College/Leinster)
22 - Felix Jones (Shannon/Munster) *
Interesting selection to say the least. No matter who’s injured I always get worried when I see Paddy Wallace on the pitch. Particularly happy to see Flannery, Kearney and Fitzgerald back. Also nice to see Felix Jones being given a shot(no doubt will be brought on about the 60min mark). Great chance for mcFadden also, he’s going to be a star for Ireland and Leinster. Not as bulky as I thought for a Scotland clash but will be interesting to see how certain players perform.
