Rugby World Cup 2011

Well I’m a Munster Fan, but O’leary is one of the players I find most frustrating. He slows the game down to a snails pace with his dithering at the base of rucks. I can understand that he likes some time to set up etc. but it just lets the opposition organise their defence that bit more and then Ireland revert to crashing it up.
For all his faults I’d prefer to see Boss in there ahead of him. However in the longer term Murray is the answer both at club and international level.
Cant argue with this really, sometimes I think O’Leary would be better off with the number 7 or 12 on his back. I’ve seen an argument made for putting hm at twelve for a few motnths several times and I’m inclined to agree given Munsters ongoing issues in that area.

Murray’s a really bright prospect though, cant wait to see how he develops

feel sorry for poor old leo tbh, first time as captain and look at the pack hes got…very average front row which means scrums will collapse all day…cronin has potential but his darts are shite…leamy is a walking penalty machine…on the rare occasions the backs get the ball, paddy wallace will butcher it…

as much as i love the two lads, horan and hayes should be nowhere near that plane to NZ,I watched horan get destroyed in a AIL game a few months ago,the less said about mick o’driscoll the better…I really hope kearney has been watching nacewa all season and learned how to counter attack properly…would have loved to have seen jones start…

could be a long saturday afternoon…

Bit harsh I think. Only person who could contend with Leamy on the penalty count is Cullen himself. And while I’m not a big fan Mick O Driscoll has put in some huge performances this year and really stepped his game up. I agree about Horan and Hayes though, I’d say Hayes in only still playing rugby now cos Kidney will insist on bringing him to the WC, after that he’ll be happy to retire in peace I’ll wager.

O’Leary is too small to make a big impact at 12. Munster missed a trick not signing Nonu.

How do you lot feel about Cullen as captain against the Scots?

Given the team being fielded, he was the only logical choice tbh. To be honest I’m looking forward to the Oz and AB clash much, much more. I know I keep saying Oz for the WC but I’d say the Kiwi’s will take the pride tomorrow. It’ll be a close and bruising encounter though and sure to entertain

while cullen himself does have a tendency to give away silly penalties, hes nowhere near leamy in terms of consistently getting penalised…jennings used to be the same which stalled his international ambitions imo but there has been a marked improvement this season…

Im not expecting much from our first two games to be honest…im predicting a kick-fest on sat which will be in stark contrast to the counter-attacking ability shown in the earlier OZ/NZ game…i hope im wrong but scotland/ireland games are not know for their flair

love that we’re on the 9th page already 6 weeks out from the start of the wc…keeps me going during work

‘known for their flair’

sorry that was my working-class illiteracy raising its ugly head…

At least you are acknowledging it. Something the rest of your mick brethren fail to do.

Apparently that is what happens if you shower with illiterate, working class drunks.

Did I get that right?

Or was it shower with drunken Micks?

Is that the guy who plays wing for Glouster? The genuine “bolter?”
Seems like an exciting player.

That’s him mate, very quick and dynamic player… and a great tackler!

I think there are a few in there which wouldnt be in a starting XV world cup team.

But I really rate Matt Stevens, he was going places before he made silly lifestyle choices. I dont know scrums at all, but he is more mobile and his engine is better than cole IMO. It’ll be good to see how manusomoa tuilagi gets on.

Proper english name, that.
Manu is a powerhouse center for a 20 yr old, Flutey is class as well.

I totally rate Stevens, he packs down very well…but they have seven props at the moment? his form has been good though since he ditched the charlie, hasn’t it?
I havent seen much of Flutey this past year, he’s either been out of form or injured for wasps.

Tuilagi’s power is a joke, someone that age shouldnt be that strong and explosive! Their whole family are genetic freaks… Heard an interview on talksport with them and they eat a big bag of meat a day, amongst other things. One of the 7? brothers is a cross dresser as well.

But back to Tuilagi… his defensive errors stand out quite a bit. His tackling is immense, so many big hits during this season, but his ability in defensive line is poor - something that he will hopefully learn with age and experience.

He played for the saxons in the churchill cup this year and looked ordinary, maybe nervous? Something that will come back to bite him in the arse if he doesn’t fix it this saturday!

EDIT: Steven’s only joined sarries half way through the season, so his class shows. I dont think he is where he was at before the ban, but i suppose he had a bit of extra energy shoving all that shit up his hooter! haha

If you look at his stats, he’s a student, 5’ 10" 185 lbs, probably doesn’t even lift. I suppose he has to act hard on here because he’s overlooked by people in real life.

What I can’t understand is why he’s so full of anger. He must have some real issues.

I don’t mind people being confrontational and trying to provoke a reaction if they do it in a witty, clever or interesting way, but he is none of these things.

He’s seriously pissing me off now too, but I guess that’s just what he wants.

What a strange guy. I think Daddy needs to take away somebody’s computer privileges.
