RTDs that Don't Suck

Is there such a thing? I know there’s a supplement ‘expose’ article here that says the ‘leading’ RTD’s aren’t much better than Slimfast. Is this the case? I know EAS and Met-Rx are pretty much marketing machines without much to their products anymore, and there’s probably a reason why there aren’t any RTD’s in the T-Nation store.

Just wondering since being busy and lazy is a powerful combo, and a (quality) RTD would really help when trying to get those extra ‘meals’ in.

I’ve tried Muscle Milk’s, and it is pretty good. I would say the best thing to do is make your own. Use Metabolic Drive for protein, whatever oil you like for fat, and oats for carbs. That way you don’t get too many odd ingredients.

Muscle Milk’s RTDs kick ass.

All you guys that go ape-shit about the stuff in MM that’s bad for you can chill out too.

It’s not gonna kill you if you drink one every once in a while.

I would have to say muscle milk is the best i have had so far. To many flavors to pick from to have just one.

I thought the bad thing about RTD’s was that they have to pasturize it before packaging, and thus denature the protein.

Thanks for the input. I realize as a whole RTD’s are inferior (in quality as well as value) to powders, but just wanted to see if there’s something out there that’s relatively superior to the rest.

Right. this means they boil the shit out of it for those who didnt know. They also use the cheapest shit possible.

Why not just throw some milk + Protein + greens+ into a water bottle and stuff it in a fridge for later use so it will be RTD when you need it. Cheaper too.
