Roy Hibbert 540lb deadlift

His range-of-motion is about equivalent to a quarter squat.

Legit 7’0" Deadlift over 500

The videos keep saying “Video does not exist”…wow…that’s pretty definite and wide-ranging.

Holy shit what a great idea. I’m gonna try trap bar rack pulls with straps sometime for sure. I’ll be disappointed with anything short of 800.[/quote]

OK, what the fuck is going on? This “trainer” is training NBA players? What the fuck? I am completely dumbfounded.

So, the guy makes 13 million a year playing basketball and his trainer isn’t grinding him to a pulp trying to make him a power lifter ?

I am aghast. Why would they waste time with activation, mobility, and general s&c on somebody like that?

Oh yeah, cause he’s a professional basketball player making millions a year, not a power lifter.

I thought we were supposed to be bringing the level of conversation on this site UP.

his little toe is worth more than me. damnit.

This has nothing to do with logic or the money he makes or his trainer grinding him to an injured Powerlifting pulp, its all about calling it what it is, a rackpull and not a DL. I also don’t understand why this thread is bringing the level of conversation down, it is GAL so all bullshit threads should go here, like the trayvon martin trial thread and the stupid PUA threads and the assinine DN thread, to the threads dedicated to fighting robots. Its funny you should choose this one to get upset at.

I am offended personally FWIW, because coming from a guy who does nothing but struggle at the lifts that count in powerlifting, it takes away from the effort put in. It also allows other dolts to watch the vid to be like “oh snap Roy Hibbert is sooper strong.” when it is nothing but super mediocre and pure embellishment.

So I am aghast that a trainer from a professional sports team would have a 7 footer doing rackpulls when it really would serve no purpose other than to make him look super cool in front of unaware nba fans and those who are unaware of what a DL actually is.

Well, if you’re struggling at those lifts maybe you should use less weight. I can see in you’re avi that you have them stacked out quite a bit on those collars and you probably have to pull like a mofo to get that bar up to lock-out. Thats just not necessary. Take a couple plates off.

You probably do the same thing with squats and them bench pressers too. High reps and low weight FTMFW!

Also, I need a sarcasm/dicking around font.
