I don’t know why people keep trying to act like Ross doesn’t deadlift. He said he hadn’t deadlifted in a while, not never deadlifted before. Once you get there long as your training your strength, it’s not going to go away.

I always see clips of all these strenght feats, but has he ever done anything competition wise with all of this athletic training? strong man, mma, anything?

The deadlift in question was in response to a challenge by some forum 'tard on his website. Quite amusing too… some guy said that Ross couldn’t deadlift 400 or something and he beat that comfortably by around 100 lbs. He does explicitly state he doesn’t deadlift as a normal part of his training, although I’m sure he’s trained the exercise before.[/quote]

I remember he said that the times he deadlifted could be counted on one hand or something like that. So he did deadlift before, but he didn’t TRAIN the deadlift.

Ross is definitely the man! I have both of his books and his Full Throttle Conditioning DVD (and his beanie - it’s awesome! And one of his t-shirts).

His materials are worth EVERY penny and then some. He ships everything himself and responds to emails quickly.

I’ve used a lot of his ideas in my own workouts. They definitely work.

He was Chuck Liddell’s strength and conditioning trainer before his fight with Wanderlei if I remember correctly…

If he wasn’t the Strength and Conditioning coach, he was one of them…

A lot of his training seems towards strength and conditioning involving boxing. Does he box?

He used to but I think he kept breaking his hands.

Cool. Great video.

really? is there any information on that? I searched his site but could not find anything. His videos are great seems like he was or would be a great boxer.

Yes, he has mentioned it in his books, on his blog and in some of the posts on his forum.

He indeed kept breaking his hand and decided to stop fighting but keep training fighters…and staying in tip-top shape while doing it!

He ain’t human
