Yes, you must be missing something.

If you lived in a four room, three bedroom, dorm room and someone came into your personal bedroom and punched a hole in your wall without cause, would you just shrug it off?

The hole is apparently big enough for the school to make the student pay for it. The bill will probably be around $200 dollars (maybe more if it is a private school; I’m going by what I know from SUNY). Again, would you pay $200 dollars for someone vandalizing your room? Only a little bitch would pay for someone elses stupidity.

Calling the cops and pressing charges is unnecessary though, in this case.

Nobody messed repeatedly with his bed, it was a one time thing. And the kid in general has been a scumbag all year, stealing other peoples food in our suite, leaving messes everywhere and not taking responsibility for them. He also has a nice collection of about 15 textbooks that hes stolen from various people during the semester so that he can sell them later on.

Theres been a few times when people have put holes in the wall and tried to fix it themselves. At the end of the year they all ended up getting billed for it anyway. Its a private university and they try to squeeze every last dime out of you. The bill would be around 200 dollars.

I remember when I had my temper issues, horrible temper issues and I would throw stuff and put hands and feet through walls.
granted it was not in a university but it was in apartments and whatnot.
I had to learn how to fix it myself which wasnt all that bad of a thing to know anyways, for home ownership and stuff like that.

but ya maybe I am being a little too “macho” with my posts and stuff but I seriously stand by the whole work it out on their own thing.

there is always something that both of them can do, I am sure this situation is nothing new to the university the police and even the coach.
I think it would actually look really good on both of them .

I advise informing the dorm authorities. If possible, try and get other people to sign on as witnesses that your roommate was the one that hit the whole in the wall and stuff.

IF it were possible to talk to the guy, duke it out and be friends later, that would probably be a good idea. It doesn’t sound like he’s the type of individual you can deal with in this manner.

So fuck dealing with him. Tell the authorities what happened, clean up your shit, let other people know about it so you can have reliable witnesses in case it comes down to your word against his, and then let them bill your roommate at the end of the year.

‘tattling’ is what kids do when they get other people to deal with problems they can’t deal with themselves. I don’t think that applies in this situation.
