For the unitiated…I could have sworn jay cutler was not on steroids, i don’t exactly follow the pro bodybuilders a lot, which was why i mentioned him, because i was under that impression…afterwards I googled it, realized I was wrong, then posted a message explicity stating i was wrong. In my mind he is now lumped into the same category as ronnie.

I hope you realize that you looked very naive thinking one huge BBing champion might be not be on steroids.
It’s not that all of them take huge amounts, but that you would be hard pressed to find any at the higher levels not using them.
They have been used by BBers since the 1950’s and were a mainstay among the majority of the big names from 1960’s onwards.
I suspect you think highly of a lot of ‘regular’ sportsmen and would have to adjust your view, one way or the other, if you were to discover what they will do to win.
Comparing steroid use in BB to other sports such as MLB is like comparing apples and oranges
Because one substance is “tolerated” in one sport and not in another does that not the one sport and its athletes less equal
Compare rugby and football? Padding and helmets make football a cheaters league. You have to look at the sport by itself and cant compare them. Or how bout softball and baseball? Bigger balls, slower pitches, different pitching. Those girls really know how to cheat… I cant believe they get away with that…
For the record, I hate Barry Bonds, but I respect the impact (for better or worse) he had to the sport, esp during the Steroid Era. Same thing with McGwire (who saved baseball or at least helped revive it) and Roger Clemens. Dont admire them, but respect what they did

True.
It does bother me that people really think that way as far as the replies to that article. What makes it worse is that some of the people on this site even seem to think like that.
true…
that level of body building is what it is…
i dont see why someone in a bodybuilding forum could not respect the work and dedication it takes to achieve that!
whoever claimed Arnold’s heart problem was due to steriods and that he admitted that I’m calling bullshit Arnold’s family had a history of heart problems and he went in for what happened to almost all the men in his family not once has Arnold said he took steriods after they were made illegal he is not stupid. Ronnie Coleman is one of the greatest bodybuilder’s who ever lived to make ignorant quotes on his physique means you don’t belong on a bodybuilding site, but on men’s health or bodybuilding.com where fags are openly put on muscle and fitness magazine.

That sounds like a challenge. It’s so on.
Put a book under enough pressure, and you can cook damn near anything in one.
Also, Ronnie is absolutely correct to sue, tweeker or whatever his name is is an absolute idiot, and X is a doctor.
Did I cover everything?

Unless you have been doing this for less than a few weeks, It is inexcusable that did not know that answer.
I actually thought it was Zane because he got famous for that succion ab pose. I just wanted to make sure. But either way i dont get why its obligatory that I know who Frank Zane and other ol school bodybuilders are, I dont really care about them. I care about myself and my training. Dont worship any kind of bodybuilders… but if you do, im not gonna judge you for that.

Its not mandatory or anything, but he is probably one of the top 5 of all time in terms of recognizability. Even a cursory knowledge of the sport should have you knowing his likeness and name.
The suction pose is called a “Vacuum” pose, and its all but a lost art form in todays bodybuilder world. Its a killer pose, its too bad really.

“This guy looks disgusting! He has got to be as unhealthy as a 1000 pound man. What kind of damage does that (and I am assuming the obvious steriod use) do to someone’s body? He’s like an anorexic-he needs some serious mental health help.”
“He is big but can he open a pickle jar for his wife?”
“Yuck. He makes me want to barf.”
“what a gay queen…a good rep for steroids though. Its amazing what drugs can do these days…but too bad he’s looking at a heat attack when he’s 55…steroids at that level kill over time…just ask Arnold- he had a 5-way bypass he credits to his steroid use back in the day”
No respect, no respect.
When did Arnold credit a “5-way bypass” to “steroid use back in the day”?
This is why people can’t even get HRT now. This level of ignorance needs to stop.
dude…I had a quintuple double ultra-bypass because I took creatine once.
