My workouts have the same frequency and just about the same volume as this. Glad me and Mr. Coleman are on the same page.[/quote]
four sets of four exercises for 3 body parts on one day? How do you feel when you wake up?

Ronnie didnt do 4 sets, he pyramided up to a certain weight and did one set to/near failure.

yeah you can see this if you watch his training videos from start to finish (talking about the ronnie coleman relentless) videos, it goes through his training in a whole week in the off season and pre-contest, his training is just a normal 5 day split pretty much, although the with the intensity and volume you’d expect from an 8 time mr o

It’s very possible to call 4 sets of some rep range pyramiding. Nowhere is the weight described in saying 4x6-12, it could easily mean 1x12@50%, 1x12@65%, 1x8@75%, 1x6@85% or something(numbers may not be Prillipen’s chart accurate =p)
I’m not saying the written routine is or isn’t accurate, just that this criticism doesn’t necessarily disprove it. You could even be doing like 8 sets, but only consider work sets as ‘sets’ so still write it as 4xReps(which is the case with most programs, e.g. doing 12 sets for chest would be absolutely nothing if you included warmups, especially for people who start warming up with the bar for a set or two).
