So what ever person was supposed to open the gym this morning was 20 mins late… GRRRRR!!!
Needless to say I had to shorten my workout this morning…
Bench Press 1x10x45, 1x8x95, 1x5x115, 3x5x125, 1x2x135, 1x1x135
T Bar Row 1x8x55, 2x8x70
HS Iso Row 1x8x90, 2x8x115
HS High Row 1x8x45, 1x8x70, 1x8x80
Maybe I can add in my DB work later in the week…
Ronda do you have a spotter to help you with your bench? I’ve been wussying out and using the machine because I have a hard time starting and when I get to failure.
Do you every use dumbbells for your bench? have you tried doing it on the floor?
I also got used to using the machine when I hurt my shoulder and I have been wimping out ever since.
I generaly only use a spotter if I am going for a PR. With that said I think I would have hit 155 by now if I had been using a spotter and let my self bench to failure on 135 or 145. I am picky about whom I like to use and generally I like to keep from using anyone, this will probably have to change.
I don’t use any machines for my bench but I was thinking of adding them in to see if they would help.
I do also use dumbbells for both flat and inclined bench work.
I really don’t understand doing it on the floor as my elbows have no where to go when I ome down.

the floor work is something I’ve seen Thibs suggest as you have to generate the energy for the push up each time rather than playing off the rebound effect of going past your chest. I have done it on days when all benches are full, only with the dumbbells though. It was hard to get used to.
I don’t have a spotter either which kind of sucks!
