What’s a bacon weave? It sounds really good. Anything with bacon does.

So I am here in Alabama visiting with my friend Joe and his wife Stacy and we have cooked the Bacon Weave, pictures will follow, low carb cheese cake, a protien powder based brownie-like… thing… and steak and chicken. We have had alot of fun with food :slight_smile:

We did hit the gym today and have plans to two more times before I leave.

Deadlift 1x5x135, 1x5x185, 1x5x205, 1x2x245… I was going to go for a PR but was not happy with the way my last lift cam up so I scrapped the idea.

HS Iso Row 1x8x180, 1x8x230

SLDL 1x8x45, 1x8x95, 1x8x145

So I went light today as I was hanging out with my freind and I am also planning on going for a bench PR tomorrow and was trying not to stress those muscle today.

Hi everyone!

I feel like I haven’t been around here in awhile…

I have been going to the gym but I haven’t updated as everything I have been doing has not been following my normal routines.

I had a great trip to AL and really enjoyed seeing my friends, we had a really fun time.

I did not make any PRs myself but my friend Joe did and as he is too scared to put the video on his log I am going to post it here… it’s kind of funny.

Yeah I did a few rack pulls and I think it is something I want to incorporate every once in awhile now.

He didn’t pull anything though he have surgry to fix a hernia last year. He had just been doing alot of set up to that point and was tired by then.
If you could have seen his head while he was doing that you would have seen him turn purple, it was great :slight_smile:

I got home last week and worked through until today. I have been busy with that and just staying quiet.

I am not originally from there I have however made some really good friends and have decided that I am going to move there as soon as everything falls into place with a job and a place to live. Hopefully in the summer :slight_smile:

I am going to keep the same work out in an attempt to keep from losing too much of my strength. After that I will build my strength, even if it means putting some weight back on, and from there and see if I am good enough to compete…

FWIW- I don’t think I’ve lost any strength…matter of fact, I’m getting stronger AND gaining endurance…the best of both!

Ronda do you have a spotter to help you with your bench? I’ve been wussying out and using the machine because I have a hard time starting and when I get to failure.

Do you every use dumbbells for your bench? have you tried doing it on the floor?

I also got used to using the machine when I hurt my shoulder and I have been wimping out ever since.
